Springwater/Rochester: “Ellie” passed peacefully with her family around her on Saturday, December 27th, 2014. She was predeceased by her devoted husband Kenneth. She is survived by her children Gene Clark, special daughter-in-law Beverly Clark, David Clark and Linda (John) Schaefer; four step-children, Craig (Kate) Barber, Geoffrey (Bonnie) Barber, Keith (Virginia) Barber, and Robin (Greg) Briggs, and thirteen grandchildren.

Binghamton/Honeoye Falls: June 15, 1920 to December 20, 2014…94 years, 6 months and 5 days. He was predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Rose (Koshar) Paciocco and his granddogs Dallas and Lacey. Survived by his daughter Susan (Larry) Rausch and son Steven (Linda) Paciocco and the Koshar and Paciocco families in the US and Italy.

Buster grew up in a small farming town (Vacri, Italy) on the Adriatic Sea. At 15 yrs old, he traveled to the US and landed in Ellis Island in 1935. He joined the Army and was a Corporal in WWII, driving a half-track all over Europe. He participated in the D-Day invasion and liberated several concentration camps. For most of his life he lived in Binghamton, NY where he worked at Kroehler Mfg. Co., as an upholster for 42 years. He and his wife moved to Honeoye Falls in 2005 to be near family.

Buster was very social and could talk to anyone about anything. He was known as the “Mayor of Vine St” and the “Mayor of Pinehurst.” He loved watching Yankee baseball in the summer and Buffalo Bills football in the winter, Let’s Make a Deal, “the Wheel” and “the Judge”. His favorite things to do were grilling and eating Lupo’s speidis with a beer or a glass of Armando’s homemade wine. Special thanks go to the staff and caregivers at Pinehurst Senior Living and Monroe County Hospital FA3E for companionship and care.

A Memorial Service celebrating his life and his 95th birthday will be held on Sunday, June 14th, at 1pm at the Cobblestone House at Mendon Ponds Park, 95 Douglas Road, Honeoye Falls, NY 14472, with military honors. Livonia: Marie T. Scanlon Poprawski, 56, of Livonia, NY died Thursday December 18, 2014 in Highland Hospital, Rochester, NY after a brief illness. She was born in Oswego the daughter of the late Joseph and Barbara (Lynch) Scanlon. Marie was a machinist at Southco, Honeoye Falls, NY. She was a graduate of SUNY Brockport. Marie is survived by her loving husband and family Daniel Poprawski, and their children Jessica (Ronald) Warner, Daniel (Merica) Poprawski. Marie was the proud and loving grandmother of her three grandchildren Riyen, Ronnie, and Jace. In addition she is survived by her siblings Joe (Patti) Scanlon of Oswego, Beth Scanlon of Oswego, Jay (Kathy) Scanlon of Oswego, her twin brother Shawn (Theresa) Scanlon of Oswego, Paul (Beth) Scanlon of FL, Katrina (Gary) Ludwigsen of Oswego, Alice (Tom) Benjamin of Oswego, Patty (Fred) Sweeney of PA, and brother-in-law Gary (Mary) Poprawski, and sisters-in-law Cindy (Richard) Hughes, Pam (Kenny) Poprawski, several nieces, and nephews. Honeoye: Margaret H. McGory died on December 17, 2014 at the Ontario County Health Facility in Canandaigua at age 93 years. She is survived by several nieces & nephews. Margaret served her country in the US Army from 1944-1946 as a General Duty Nurse. Later she was a RN at the Canandaigua VA Medical Center. Margaret was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Honeoye and belonged to the Rosary Society.

Canandaigua: December 9th, 2014 at age 88. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Bond of Honeoye, his daughter Hallie Bond and his son-in law Mason Smith and his grandchildren Alex and Margaret Smith of Long Lake, NY and his brother Bruce Bond (Rita) of Sedona, AZ.

Bob was born in Denver, CO on September 26, 1926 to parents Fred and Margaret Bond. He was predeceased by his wife Mary in 1995.

Bob loved spending time in the Adirondack Mountains boating and hiking. He had a large collection of boats and enjoyed exploring every lake and river in the Adirondacks. One of his favorite quotes was “There is nothing – absolutely nothing – half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats.” Before he retired Bob was employed at the Gates Rubber Company in Denver, CO as the Director of International Advertising.

His family is very appreciative of all of the support from the staff, nurses and doctors at Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua.

Alice was a member of the Livonia Class of 1947. She was employed by Hickoks, Champion Knitwear, Livonia Gazette, and retired from the Livonia Central School in 1991. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed many years as a Jr. Bowling Coach. She loved golf and loved being a part of the Children’s Christmas Store Program. She was a past director of the Genesee Valley Women’s Bowling Association.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 10th, at 11am at the South Livonia United Church of Christ, 5087 South Livonia Road, Livonia. Rev. He was a Professor Emeritus at MCC, Chair of Optical Engineering Technology Department from 1975-2008, Chair of MCC Engineering Technology Division, Member of 32nd degree Shrine Unity Lodge #457 Rochester, and past member of the Livonia Board of Education. He was a member of Oak Hill Country Club for 27 years where he played lousy golf. He excelled in his roll of Play-Doh assistant and Barbie Doll dresser for his adored boss Nadia.

Bob was proud of his long association with the optics industry both locally and nationally. He set high standards for the optics program and his students at MCC.

“Quinner” was born in Lompoc, CA as the oldest of six children. Mike especially loved camping and hiking in state and national parks enjoying the beauty of nature. Mike called several states home including California, New York, Colorado, and Oregon and visited 49 of the 50 states. He was an avid sports fan with a particular love for the Anaheim Angels.

They lived in Port Washington, NY for over 25 years. In 1979 Henry started Phoenix Color in Long Island City. He was a part owner and senior vice president until his retirement in 1997. He was a Mason in the Paumanok-Port Washington Lodge # 0855 for over 35 years. Henry loved hunting, golfing, and he was an avid fan of the NY Yankees, the Giants, and the Rangers. Above all Henry loved and enjoyed spending time with Geri, their children, and grandchildren.

She was born January 14, 1923 in Perrysburg, NY daughter of the late Adam Volk and Catherine Miller and step mother Julia Volk.

Elsie came to Attica with her family in the 4th grade. She went to school with the love of her life, Jim, married and raised their family on the family farm on Sonricker Road. She will always be remembered as a wonderful Wife, Mother and Grandmother. She will also be remembered for her wonderful veggie gardens, canning, baked beans, apple pies, and especially her ability to feed whomever showed up at her door at any given time. Elsie was the “Finisher” and business agent for the family maple syrup business, and was also a school bus driver and 4-H Leader.

Surviving are her three Children, James (Carole) Sonricker of Leicester, Robert (JoAnne) Sonricker of Attica and Susan (Harold) Kennedy of Attica. Nine Grand Children, many Great and Great-Great Grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Sister-in-law of George and Betty Sonricker and Helen Rudolph Miller of Attica and Helen Rivard of Rhinebeck
She was predeceased by her husband of 70 years, Jim Sonricker in 2011, and by her Sisters and brothers in law: Grace (John) Marchand and Joyce (Art) Ackler.

Step siblings and spouses Charlotte (Randall) Brumelle and Bernard (Olive) Taylor.

There are no calling hours. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date, burial in Forest Hill Cemetery in Attica.
