His love and memory goes on in Christopher and Holly Batzel, Jessica and Cody Bennett, Courtney and Katelyn Quinlan, Ashley and Zachary Quinlan, and his little Bub, Jackson Semmel. On behalf of Kevin, the Quinlan family extends their deepest gratitude for the loving care and compassion given to Kevin by Dr Richard Aguirre, Adam Mizzi, PA and the Staff at Lakeville Family Medicine, Dr Brian Smith, Cindy Peterson, RN and Sandy Booth, RN. Also the entire medical, administrative and volunteer staff at Noyes Memorial Hospital, Dansville.+
Kevin was employed as Supervisor in the Transportation Department at Niagara Mohawk (National Grid) until his retirement 18 years ago. An assessor for many years he continued to work after his retirement and was employed by the Town of Caledonia. Kevin had a 51 year history as a member and past chief of the Avon Fire Department, and he was also a member of the NYS Fire Chief’s Association as well as a social member of the Springwater Fire Department. Kevin was also Veteran of the United States Marine Corp and a member of the NYS Assessor’s Association.
Kevin was always busy doing something, and always kept track of his kids and grandkids. We dubbed that as being “roll call”. When not working or talking fire department things you could always find him riding his John Deere tractor up in Springwater. Our hero fought his battle for 2 years with great courage and dignity, and he will be greatly missed.
