Binghamton/Honeoye Falls: June 15, 1920 to December 20, 2014…94 years, 6 months and 5 days. He was predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Rose (Koshar) Paciocco and his granddogs Dallas and Lacey. Survived by his daughter Susan (Larry) Rausch and son Steven (Linda) Paciocco and the Koshar and Paciocco families in the US and Italy.

Buster grew up in a small farming town (Vacri, Italy) on the Adriatic Sea. At 15 yrs old, he traveled to the US and landed in Ellis Island in 1935. He joined the Army and was a Corporal in WWII, driving a half-track all over Europe. He participated in the D-Day invasion and liberated several concentration camps. For most of his life he lived in Binghamton, NY where he worked at Kroehler Mfg. Co., as an upholster for 42 years. He and his wife moved to Honeoye Falls in 2005 to be near family.

Buster was very social and could talk to anyone about anything. He was known as the “Mayor of Vine St” and the “Mayor of Pinehurst.” He loved watching Yankee baseball in the summer and Buffalo Bills football in the winter, Let’s Make a Deal, “the Wheel” and “the Judge”. His favorite things to do were grilling and eating Lupo’s speidis with a beer or a glass of Armando’s homemade wine. Special thanks go to the staff and caregivers at Pinehurst Senior Living and Monroe County Hospital FA3E for companionship and care.

A Memorial Service celebrating his life and his 95th birthday will be held on Sunday, June 14th, at 1pm at the Cobblestone House at Mendon Ponds Park, 95 Douglas Road, Honeoye Falls, NY 14472, with military honors. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Monroe Community Hospital Auxiliary Fund (for resident programs), 435 E. Henrietta Road, Rochester, NY 14620.   1. Sue/Larry – condolences, thoughts and prayers as you say good-bye to your dad. He had a good long life and remember all of the great memories you made with him to carry you through the tough days. May he rest in eternal peace with your mom.

  2. Sue…I am so sorry to read about your Dad. I remember meeting him long long ago (wasn’t it at your Mom’s funeral service?). Almost 95 years old!! What a long and pro0uctive life he led, along with serving his country and putting his life on the line. Now he is in God’s hands…and that is a pretty super place to be.
