Constance M. Beamer “Connie” – August 27, 2019

Livonia: August 27, 2019 at age 80. Predeceased by her parents Robert W. Jr. and Catherine J. (Love) Beamer Weeks, her step-father Robert C. Weeks Sr., sister Ann Mansfield, infant siblings John and Kathleen Beamer, and son Kyle M. Klump. Survived by children; Kenneth (Ann) Klump, Keely (Daniel) Rosica, Kelly Klump; daughter-in-law Barbara Klump; brother Robert C. (Pamela Good) Weeks Jr.; grandchildren, Kaitlind Klump, Kara Klump, Megan Vincent Rosica, and Nathan (Nadine) Rosica. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, Connie was very close to her maternal Grandmother, Kate Love, who helped raise her and Sister, Ann, after their Father died. The 1940 U.S. Census indicates the multi-generational relationships present in the South Paxson St, Philadelphia household. Through the years, Connie maintained close relations with her many relatives in the Philadelphia area, particularly cousins.

After her Mother re-married, Connie’s family eventually ended up in Wayne County, NY, where she was welcomed into the large Weeks family as a “Sister” (age-wise, she was a contemporary of some of her Uncles). She graduated from Wayne Central School in Ontario, NY in 1956 and later earned some college credits.

Connie married Richard Klump (recently deceased) on January 5, 1957, and had four children. She was employed in the banking industry, retiring from Marine Midland Bank. She moved to central Florida and worked as an award-winning rural carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. After retiring from that job, she moved back to New York, and lived with her son, his wife, Barbara, and Connie’s grandchildren, Kaitlind and Kara. Even though she had a limited income, she was eventually able to contribute to the education and well-being of her grandchildren including Megan, all of whom she was very proud of.

Connie then moved to her own apartment in Livonia, NY, where she made new friends who have been very supportive of her even as her health declined. After an accident, Connie went for rehab at the Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation, and then had to move to the Long-Term Care unit. She received attention from caring staff at CNR. Unfortunately, her condition deteriorated anyway, and she passed after having had several internal infections and issues. She was finally at peace.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11am on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home Inc., 21 Big Tree Street, Livonia, NY. Interment will be held at a future date at Furnaceville Cemetery, Ontario, NY. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Patrick Place, 2006 Scottsville Chili Road, Scottsville, NY 14546.
