Groveland/Deland, FL: November 25, 2014 at age 67 years. Predeceased by his parents Glenn “Bud” & Virginia Burgess and his brother Tony Burgess. Survived by sons; Michael (Denise) Burgess of Deland, Fl and Matthew (Kim) Burgess of Groveland. Grandchildren; Kyra and Chase Burgess. Siblings; Glenn “Spud” Burgess of Fillmore and Judy (Charlie) Gardner of Pike. Nieces & nephews, cousins, lifelong friend John Oakley of Leesburg, FL, many friends in NY and FL.

Mike was born on February 2, 1947 in Fillmore, NY to parents Glenn & Virginia (Eldridge) Burgess. He owned Mike’s Auto Repair & Sales in Lakeville, NY until 1989. He later moved to Deland, FL and started MDB Express Auto Transport. He was an avid car collector, loved motorcycles, ATV’s, and being outdoors. He loved his family and friends, especially his granddaughters.

Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life Gathering on Saturday, November 29th, at 1pm at Mike’s home, 4703 Wise Road, Groveland. Arrangements entrusted to the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home Inc., Livonia-Honeoye. To send a condolence and for further information please visit:
