Linda L. Julien of Livonia of April 27, 2011 at age 72 years. Survived by her husband, Charles, sons, Craig (Carol Giacchino) Julien of Henrietta, Kevin (Angela) Julien of Gang Mills, NY, Kyle (Lori) Julien of Akron, OH; 5 grandchildren; sister-in-law, Sister Lorraine, SSJ and Jane Nolan, both of Rochester; aunt, Georgianna Scheithauer of Northport, FL; uncle, Harold Ross Glover of Dansville; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, James, Jr., Gary and Dale Paine.
Linda Paine was born on June 8th, 1938 in Garwoods, New York where she spent her early years. She attended Canaseraga Central School, where she participated in many activities, including the school band. She was also active in several community youth groups. She graduated with honors in 1956 and entered Highland Hospital’s School of Nursing. She received her nursing degree in 1959 along with 14 other women who have remained lifelong friends. She worked in various roles at several hospitals in the region, always gaining the admiration and respect of her peers and the gratitude of her patients. In recent years, Linda pursued her passion for geriatric nursing at the Ontario County Home and St. John’s Home.
She married Charles Julien on October 21st, 1961. They were blessed with three boys (Craig, Kevin, and Kyle) and five grandchildren (Grace, Nathan, Ella, Remy, and Ethan). While the family lived in Springwater, she served the community as president of the Wayland Central School Board and as a literacy volunteer. In 2009, she and Charles moved to Livonia.
Linda was a loving wife, devoted mother, and doting grandmother. She touched the lives of many people as a caregiver, friend, and neighbor.
Charles and his family would like to express their gratitude for the many kindnesses that have been extended to them in their time of need.
