Livonia: February 28, 2018 at age 74 after a valiant battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife of forty-four years, Martha (Maloney) Palmer of Livonia; daughters Cari (Tim) Lord of Amesbury, MA, and Jennifer (Paul) Brooker of Penfield; grandchildren Paul and Anna Brooker; sister Lynne (Roger) Wilhelm of Huntington Beach, CA; sister-in-law Mary Kay (Tom) Martin of Hilton Head, SC; several nieces and nephews, and many special friends. He is pre-deceased by his parents, Ivan and Mary Elizabeth (Coiley) Palmer.
Ed served his country in the US Navy and was a retiree of Rochester Telephone Company. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying time spent fishing and caring meticulously for his lawn and garden. His greatest devotion was to his family as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother.
Friends may call on Sunday, March 4 from 2-4 p.m. at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home Inc., 21 Big Tree Street, Livonia, NY. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, March 5 at 11 AM at St. Matthew Church, 6591 Richmond Mills Rd, Livonia, NY 14487. Burial Holy Cross Cemetery, Dansville, NY with military honors.
