Thomas J. Earle – October 16, 2018

Honeoye:  Tom passed on October 16, 2018 at age 40 at the Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, NY.  He was predeceased by his father Warren Earle, mother Barbara Hamilton, and his brother Gary Hamilton.  Survived by his siblings; Lindi Earle, Kristen Hamilton, and Corey Hamilton; aunt Lorrie Johnson; also survived by loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

Tom was born on March 12, 1978 in Rochester, NY to parents Warren and Barbara.  He was a past employee of Caccamise Moving in Lima, NY.  Tom enjoyed being outdoors, four wheeling, riding dirt bikes, tattoos, and having a cold beer with friends.

George E. Siegel – October 16, 2018

Richard M. Jopson Sr. “Dick” – October 14, 2018

Hemlock:  Dick passed peacefully on October 14, 2018 at age 81.  Predeceased by his siblings; Theodore Jopson, Elsie Billotte, and Elizabeth Colvin.  Survived by his devoted wife Donna Jopson  and children; Marty (Shirley) Jopson of Geneseo, Mark (Theresa) Jopson of Lakeville, Lisa Ohle of Livonia, Todd Niles of IA, Sherry (Dan) Siefken of IA, and Mike (Tara) Niles of IA; grandchildren, Jamie (Christie) Jopson, Jerrod Jopson, Tyler Ohle, Ashley Jopson, Amanda Jopson, Jennifer Niles, Niles Siefken, and Michael Niles; great- grandchildren, Brittani Jopson, Jordan Jopson, and Nicholas Jopson; siblings, Eugene Jopson, Barbara Schmidt, Sharon Hurley, Lorena Rogers, and Melvin Jopson.  Also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends & fans of country music.

Dick was born on January 20, 1937 in Honeoye Falls, NY to parents Theodore & Clara Jopson.  He served in the Army National Guard during the 1960’s and also was a member of the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office and the Village of Geneseo Police.  He always had a love of music and enjoyed to play guitar and perform.  He was very proud to be a member of the NYS Country Music Hall of Honor, the NYS Country Music Hall of Fame, and was a recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award for Country Music.  He also received the Livingston County Legend Award for his many years of music performance in our community and  received the WCJW Achievement in Country Music Award.  Dick was a member of the Civil Defense and also owned Jopson’s Slab City in Hemlock, NY.   He was well loved by all his family and friends and will be deeply missed.

Avon:  Terry passed at his home on October 13, 2018, at age 60, surrounded by his loving family.  Predeceased by his father, Terry E. B. Joan Panipinto – October 12, 2018

Livonia:  Joan passed peacefully on October 12, 2018, surrounded by her family, at age 84.  She was predeceased by her husband Richard E. Panipinto, great-granddaughter Audriana Panipinto, and brother Kenneth Mattice.  Survived by her children; Larry Panipinto of Hemlock, Sandra (Charles) Culver of Conesus, Francine (Russel) Gordner of Hemlock, and Jeffrey (Teri) Panipinto of Rush; 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandson; brothers, William (Catherine) Mattice and Richard Mattice.  Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Joan was born on August 10, 1934 in Rochester, NY to parents Kenneth & Beatrice (Schultz) Mattice.  She was a graduate of Nunda Central School and later moved to Livonia Center, NY.  Joan was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.  She had many friends in the Livonia Community especially on Wildbriar Drive where she has resided for the last ten years.  Joan loved going on bus trips, playing cards, gambling, and she enjoyed gardening.  She was always a hard working person that was always willing to help others.

Stanley: October 11, 2018 at age 75.  Ed was born to the late Herbert and Harriet Hayton of Big Tree Rd in Hemlock. He was predeceased by his brothers; Robert (Carol) Hayton, Herbert (Dawn) Hayton, Harry Hayton; sister, Dorothy (Richard) Donley; brother-in-laws, Howie Washburn and Bruce Cox, and niece Valerie Andrews. Tommy J. Alger – October 10, 2018

Avon: Michael C. Driscoll “Mike” died peacefully on October 9, 2018 at age 74.  Mike was predeceased by both his parents Jack & Mary Driscoll and his son John Michael Driscoll. He is survived by his daughter & son in law Shelly & Bryan Read and grandchildren, siblings Bill (Marge) Driscoll, Judy (AJ) Stephany, Sharon (Jim) Glose, Pat (Anne) Driscoll, Dan (Sandy)Driscoll, lots of loved nieces & nephews and countless friends and customers.

Mike was born September 3, 1944, one of seven children born to Jack Driscoll and Mary (Edna McAllister) Driscoll. Mike was born and bred in Avon NY and he attended both St Agnes and Avon Central School. Mike owned and operated his own Locksmith Company for 56 years and generously provided 24-hour service to the Livingston and Monroe County area. Mike proudly raised his two children John & Shelly on his own. Mike was a devoted member of St. Matthews Catholic Church. Mike loved the town of Avon, everything Irish, going to breakfast, diner hopping, meeting new people, telling & listening to people’s stories but most of all bragging about his grandchildren Baylee, Owen & Keni Read.

Gary D. Hatton – October 6, 2018

 

South Lima: Passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 6, 2018, at age 70, at Strong Memorial Hospital with Anne, his beloved wife of 30 years at his side. Gary was born in Media, PA to the late Howard and Katharine Hatton. He is survived by his wife; Anne E. Hatton, his devoted brother; Ken (Sandy) Hatton of PA, his niece; Arlene (Jesse) Garman, his nephew; Randy (Lori) Hatton, his grand-niece; Abigail Garman and his grand-nephew; Luke Hatton.

Gary was a graduate of Penncrest High School. He worked as an instructor for Kodak for 18 years. Gary went on to start his own business, Gary Rich Associates, where he was a consultant for customer services, till his retirement. Gary has a gift of lighting up a room with his cheerfulness and making people laugh and feel good. Gary loved his Annie, family and friends, all things Irish, his Philadelphia Eagles, a fun day, and teaching.

Clifford R. Carll “Cliff” – October 1, 2018

Robert O. Damann “Bob” ~ September 30, 2018

Canandaigua: Robert O. Damann (Bob), age 97 of Canandaigua, New York, died September 30, 2018. Bob was born August 18, 1921, the son of the late Frederick and Hazel Damann.  He is preceded in death  by his first and second wives,  Margaret and Joan. He is survived by his sons, Rick (Ginny) Damann, Bill (Janice) Lischeid and Ron Lischeid; grandchildren; Justin, Michael, Kellie, Kurt and Greg. as well as seven great-grandchildren, and his beloved dog, Cody.

Bob was the type of man that would go out of his way to help anyone, even a stranger.  He had a passion for generosity.  He was the rock of the Damann Family and a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and a dear friend to many. He showed those close to him how to be strong even when the hard times hit.  Bob will be greatly missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of the many lives he has touched.

Honeoye Lake: Our cherished mother Elizabeth Dinehart went home to the Lord on Friday, September 28, 2018 at age 92. She was predeceased by her husband Robert, daughter Pamela, and brother “Herb” Miller. Lynette Marie Gilmore (Hayes) – September 26, 2018

Avon: Lyn passed peacefully at her home on September 26, 2018 at age 57. Predeceased by her mother Donna Hayes. She is survived by her husband of 31 years James F. While in California Lyn worked for State Farm Insurance and later transferred to the Henrietta, NY office. She was an avid gardener, animal lover, and home decorator. She was a gift to us all.

Shirley A. Sackett – September 26, 2018

Canadice: Passed away peacefully on September 26, 2018, at age 64, at her home in Canadice, NY. Shirley was born in Canandaigua, NY to the late Elizabeth Weigert. Shirley is survived by her beloved husband of 42 years, Kenneth W. Sackett, her devoted children; Chad (Crystal) Sackett & Kari Sackett (Jim Strassner), her cherished grandsons, Robbie & Aiden, and her adored siblings, June (John) McAllister, Betty Owens (Bob Saturno) and Tom (Eileen) Weigert, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Shirley’s first love was spending time with her grandsons, Robbie and Aiden. She loved to crochet, embroider, along with many other art and craft projects. Shirley was involved in Cub Scouts for 12 years, where she helped one scout to earn his “Eagle Award.” She was involved in Girl Scouts for 15 years, taking the girls to Disney in FL, Ohio, and many other camping trips. She enjoyed watching and collecting “Wizard of Oz” memorabilia.

A Gathering to Celebrate Shirley’s Life was held at the convenience of the family.
