Jean A. Smith (Minosh) ~ March 18, 2019

Conesus Lake:  Jean passed peacefully on March 18, 2019 at age 71.  Survived by children;  Floraine “Flo” (Jerry) Marble, Charlene “Char” (Gerald) Presler, and Jamie Smith all of Conesus; grandchildren, Jennifer Marble-Hayes, Josh Marble, Zaine Presler, LeAnna Presler, Miranda Presler, James Hapke, Joel Smith, and Jayden Smith; great-grandchildren, Michael, Mason, Jaime, Jackson, Logan, Norah, Macie, Nick, and Keagan; her sister Helen Hildreth and many dear family & friends.

No prior calling hours will be held.  A Funeral Mass in Celebration of Jean’s Life will be held on Monday, March 25th, 10:30am at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 6591 Richmond Mills Road, Rte 20A, Livonia, NY.  Burial Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Rochester, NY, will take place later in the day.  Those wishing to attend may meet at the main gate, Lake Avenue Entrance, at 2pm.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Livonia Ambulance, PO Box 8, Livonia, NY 14487.  To send a condolence or share a memory please visit:  www.doughertyfuneralhomes.com

  6. sweet jean, the slicing machine! what a wonderful woman! she was a mother to all young people who worked in the deli with her at wegmans. Always kind, patient and caring, and boy, did we love to giggle. It’s been over 25 years since I worked with jean, I loved her so much. She was there for me when my father died, she squeezed my hand and said, always remember, you were loved. So I would like her children to know the same, you were loved. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers, and remember, your mother was loved by so many. I know she’s with the angels, because she was one down here.

  7. One of the sweetest people I ever knew. I never saw her without a smile and she always had a hug for me when I’d see her. I Got to know her working together at Wegmans Geneseo years ago. Its not goodbye Jeanie, I will see you again someday. Thoughts and prayers to the family and friends of this wonderful, loving friend.

  9. I got to know Jean in the mid-1970s when we were in the Conesus Fire Ladies Auxiliary together. I especially remember her in charge of the Easter Egg Hunts which were held in her Uncle Harry Kaiser’s field (later her property) before the park was built. She always had a big smile & warm heart!

  10. I remember Jean as a kick in school. Always a smile or joke to lighten the day. She will be greatly missed. Blessings and peace to her family and friends.
