Kathleen A. Hubble (Kuhn) – February 24, 2018

Honeoye: Kathy passed away peacefully on February 24, 2018 at age 59, with family by her side after a brief illness. She is predeceased by her parents; Donald and Elizabeth; her step “Ma”, Alice Kuhn, Aunt Dorothy Kuhn; and her son, Sean P. She is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, David; her sons David (D) Hubble, Shane Hubble, and Ryan Hubble; Brother Dan (Cindy) Kuhn; sister, Cheryl (Greg) Bailey; and so many family and friends.

Kathy was a breast cancer survivor, a loving mother, and caregiver to anyone who needed one. Many people in town knew her as the “sub lady” at Shurfine where she was known to pack the subs a little extra full so that no one would go hungry. The family wishes to extend a big thank you to the staff at UR Thompson’s ICU for the wonderful and heartfelt care she received.

Friends may call on Friday, March 2nd, from 3-7pm at Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home Inc., 8624 Main St., Route 20A, Honeoye, where services will immediately follow calling. A celebration of life will take place after the services at the Richmond Fire Department. In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made in her or her son, Sean’s name to The Partnership for Ontario County ATTN: Substance Abuse Prevention, 5297 Parkside Drive, Suite 307, Canandaigua, NY 14424.

We are all so sorry to hear this. Kathy will always, always be with you. Every time you think about time with her, she is there. I will always remember Kathy as being so sweet and nice to everyone.

  14. Kathy was my “Partner in Crime” during my times, working at Shur Fine with her. I would always be excited to see her name next to mine on the work schedule because I always knew that on those days, I would have a blast, and maybe even get into a little harmless trouble.
She had such an incredible spark about her. She was the kind of person that had no filter when she was amongst friends, but had a heart bigger than herself. And though her faith was tested beyond the capacity of most, she was unwavering, faithful, and kind. She was a stranger to no one. Our little town was bigger with her in it, and will always remember her fondly.
To her family, I am eternally grateful that you shared her with all of us. Please know she touched so many lives, and will be dearly missed. I am so very sorry for your loss!
    With warmest thoughts,
