Thomas L. Sargeant “Tom” ~ January 2, 2021

Canandaigua/Livonia:  At age 87, Tom passed away peacefully, with his family by his side at his home in Canandaigua on Saturday, January 2, 2021.  Tom was born in Honeoye Falls to the late John and Enid Sargeant.  He was predeceased by his brother; John Sargeant, son-in-law; Charles Deller, his grandson; Richard Britton, and great grandson; Jerry Britton.  Survived by his beloved wife of 69 years; Virginia Sargeant, his daughters; Barbara Deller, Sharon Sargeant, Linda (Armando) Alvarado, and Amber (Jeff) Savage, and his siblings; Bob Sargeant, James (Dorothy) Sargeant, Susanna Wright, and Margaret (Robert) Richardson, his aunt; Margaret Snoddy, along with 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and friends.

Tom learned at an early age to weld from his father, and he pursed his passion for ornamental works and started Sargeants Ornamental Iron Works in Livonia.

Tom enjoyed spending his free time gardening, being out in the nature, wood working, spending time with his family and talking to others and cracking jokes. He also enjoyed talking about herbs, politics and watching trains. Tom also has a display of Hess trucks that he has collected over the years at the Livonia Public Library.

Tom’s Ornamental work of 45 years can be seen all over, some are as local as a house hold stair railings or the Livonia Public Library to historical places such as Letchworth State Park and a Las Vegas Casino.

Tom was involved in many organizations, and was members of the Dansville Moose Club, NYS Covered Bridge Society and the Noma Society.

William Henry Reno – January 2, 2021

Livonia, NY:  Devoted family man William Henry Reno, 92, passed away at his home January 2, 2021 with his daughters by his side.  Predeceased by his eternal companion, Virginia Nell Reno (Fulmer) and his daughter Linda V. Ramirez, and his grandson Adrian B. Ramirez.

Cherished father to Vivian Fujimoto (Michael) and Amy Prehn ; Grandfather to Gary Burns (Gillian), Grant Burns (Candi), Julie Huffman, Jordan Fujimoto, Taylor Fujimoto (Alyssa), Midori Goobie (Robert). Great grandpa to Lucas and Ollie Fujimoto and newest family member, Nelke Burns.

Bill was born in Lowell, Massachusetts on February 5, 1928. He graduated Lowell High School in 1945 and earned a degree in accounting in 1953 from Bentleys Business College. He also attended Northeastern University and Merrimack college. He enjoyed his long career of 47 years with the New England Electric Company. He started as a meter reader and then become an accountant in the finance department.

He served in the Navy during the Korean war on the icebreaker Atka. While in the Navy he met his sweetheart at a YMCA dance in Charlestown, Mass. They married in 1953 and were together for 64 years.

One of his proudest accomplishments was reconstructing his home in Grafton, Mass. Through expert workmanship and self taught skills he made a beautiful custom designed home for his family.

He loved to garden ever since he had a summer job at a nearby farm as a boy. He instilled in his family a love of nature through camping trips, fishing, hiking and caving. He was a member of the Boston Grotto and explored many caves and caverns in the New England area and in the southern US. His love of learning was a great example to us and he was an avid reader.

A faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints, he has a testimony that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and has taught his family these truths. With abiding faith in the Lord Jesus Christ he will continue his journey with Him and his loved ones beyond the veil.

We will gather as a family to honor his life, his example and his selfless service to each of us. Janet A. Goff ~ January 2, 2021

Henrietta, NY:  At age 86, Janet passed on January 2, 2021 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY.  She was born on January 3, 1934 in Somerset, Massachusetts to the late Clifton and Natalie (Davis) Hadfield.  She was also predeceased by her son Gregory Brown and brothers; Bruce, Jack, and Clifton Hadfield.  Survived by daughters; Kristine Brown of Rochester, NY and Kimberlee Ferrero of Oregon; 2 grandsons, and several other family members and friends.

Janet was born in Massachusetts and spent a good portion of her life there.  After high school she worked in the clothing business.  For many years she worked at Cherry & Webb Clothing Company in Fall River, MA.  She has resided in Henrietta, NY for the last few years.
