Bristol: April 26, 2014 at age 81. Predeceased by his wife Jean (Howland) Lutz, parents J. Ransom and Edna Lutz, siblings Harold, Ralph, James Lutz and Anne D’Olivo. Survived by children Lynn (Lutz) Kendrot of Bristol, Lori (Terry Cole) Lutz of South Bristol, and David (Mette Stromnes) Lutz of Rochester. Grandchildren, Nicole and Tracy Kendrot, Michael Bailey, and Nina Lutz. Sisters, Thelma Rehberg and Mary Cronin both of Chili. Several brothers and sisters in law, nieces and nephews.

He was a lifetime member of the Bristol Fire Department and Ambulance Corps. George was the proprietor of Bristol Valley Mobile Park, and a former Highway Superintendent of the Town of Bristol. A heavy machine operator, he worked on many of the highway projects in Monroe County and was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, AFL-CIO. He was a Korean War veteran.

Livonia, NY – Audrey E. Farr, 89, passed away peacefully April 16, 2014, surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her husband of 60+ years Warren D. Farr, parents Otto and Mildred (Hann) Derrenbacher, younger brother Richard E, Derrenbacher, son-in-law Michael Ludwig, Godson Keith (“Kit”) Farr, and several sister and brother-in-laws.

Audrey was survived by her children Robert (Jennifer) Farr of Dansville, Linda Ludwig of Geneseo, and Lisa (Leslie) Schell of Carrollton, OH. Several years ago Audrey retired from her full-time greenhouse business of raising perennials, mums, iris, and assorted plants when she moved from Wadsworth to Livonia. However, she never retired her green thumb and love for gardening. Her gardens in Livonia were well-tended and admired.

Over the years and in addition to gardening, Audrey enjoyed dancing, sewing, camping, playing cards, and watching her daughter compete in horse shows. Always an animal lover, Audrey also cherished the company of her dogs and especially her cats. She was a devout Catholic and maintained a close association with church and clergy even when her health made it difficult to attend regular mass in later years.

Geneseo: Wyllis W. Barrett died April 9, 2014 at the age of 92, joining her husband John T. Barrett.

Born in Hamilton, Indiana, Wyllis graduated from Elmhurst High School. She earned a Bachelor of Music degree from the American Conservancy of Music in Chicago, where she met John Barrett, her husband of 55 years. Wyllis achieved a dream by playing with the Chicago Woman’s Symphony. She went on to achieve a Master of Music degree from the University of Michigan. Eventually settling in Geneseo with John, where they spent many years, she provided private music lessons and, with both being gourmet cooks, Wyllis and John were popular Geneseo hosts.

Born on a dairy farm in Geneseo, Gerald Pease attended district school, graduating from Livonia High School, and then from Geneseo Normal School. He loved teaching elementary school for two years, but with the start of WWII, he returned to work with his father on the family dairy farm. He remained a dairy farmer until his retirement in 1988. During his farming years he expanded the farming operation, adding acreage and putting up one of the first free stall barns and milking parlors in the county. As a farmer he was involved in the Conesus Milk Producers, Farm Bureau, and the Grange and he recorded rainfall and temperature data during the growing season over 40 years for Cooperative Extension. After retirement he continued his interest in weather as the Lakeville “Weather Watcher” for News Ch 8. He was a 70 year member of the Masons, a member of Eastern Star, and active in many other community organizations. After retirement he served as treasurer for the Lakeville Fire Department. He was active his entire life in the Livonia Methodist Church singing in the choir for over 70 years. He loved being with people, and lived a life actively promoting agriculture and serving his community.

She was born in Canadice, NY at the home of her parents Delevan and Violet (Wood) Alger on February 15, 1924. She was a lifetime member of the Eagle Star Chapter #350 in Honeoye. She was predeceased by her husband of 41 years, Earl T. Goodman, in 1985. Also she was predeceased by siblings George and Ellis Alger & Alberta Clawson.

South Lima: Russell L. Smith (Smitty) of South Lima, N.Y. passed away on March 31, 2014 at age 84 years. Russell was born July 17, 1929 son of the late Charles and Carrie Smith of South Lima. Russell lived his entire life in South Lima and owned/operated a produce and trucking company. Russell enjoyed hunting, classic cars, flea markets and his pets.

Russell was survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Gladys (Hayward), 3 children, David (Sally) Smith of Springwater, Linda (Steve) Futter of Livonia, and Christine (Patrick) Ireland of Winchester, VA, and his 7 grandchildren, Damon (Carrie) Smith, Dale (Cara) Smith, Matthew & Lindsay Futter, Flynn, Ryley & Bayley Ireland and 1 great grandson, Alexander David Smith. He was predeceased by 6 siblings.

Russell enjoyed life, his family, and his best friend, his dog “Queenie”.

Marilyn was born July 9, 1938 in Kendall New York. She graduated from Holley High School Class of 1957. She earned an Associate’s degree in Accounting from Genesee Community College. She worked at SUNY Brockport as a clerk for almost 20 years before her retirement in 2002.

Marilyn was an active member of the United Methodist Church her whole life. She was a soloist in the choir and often sang at special services for churches of all religions. For over 20 years she was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

She was a good mother, grandmother, and friend to all who knew her.

Milford A. Rahn – March 22, 2014

Brockport: Milford A. Rahn of Brockport, NY and Zephyrhills, FL, age 95 at Gulfside Regional Hospice, March 22, 2014, with family at his bedside. He is survived by Doris (VanDerMeid), his wife of 68 years, daughter Carol (David Baxter) of London, England, son Douglas of Norwich, CT, three grandchildren, Joanne (Bryan) Wells, Cynthia (George) Obada and Peter, and four great-grandchildren, Gregory and Nicole Wells and Sophie and Lyvia Obada. He is predeceased by his brother Howard.

Born September 17, 1918, Milford was raised on a farm in Barre, NY. He trained as an engineer in the class of ‘42 at Rochester Atheneum and Mechanics Institute (now RIT) before serving in the 8th Army, 305th Bombardment Group, 365th Squadron during World War II. A B-17 ball turret gunner, he spent 11 months as a POW in Germany. In later years he spoke of these experiences, but in the belief that nation should not lift up sword against nation.

Milford and Doris enjoyed many years of square dancing and travelling. He was an untiring supporter of Brockport United Methodist Church, serving as trustee, lay leader, church school teacher, a leader of the major renovations in the 1960s and ingenious repairer of everything from the heating system to the organ. He will be remembered and much-missed for his warmth, sincerity and sly humor.

No calling hours. A service of remembrance will be held at the Brockport United Methodist Church at 2pm on Friday, April 4th. West Bloomfield/Hemlock: March 21, 2014 Robert T. Yatteau at age 77 years went to be with the lord. He was predeceased by his parents Thomas and Marjorie (McKee) Yatteau, his brothers James, Frederick and Richard Yatteau. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Ellie Yatteau, stepson Daniel (Donna) Lauffer, brothers Donald, Charles, and Russel (Patricia) Yatteau, sister Alice Eichas, and sister in-law Barbara Yatteau. Granddaughter Danielle (Brandon) Zettl and great-grandchildren Hunter & Eva Marie Zettl. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Bob was born October 24, 1936 in Rochester, NY to parents Thomas & Marjorie (McKee) Yatteau. He attended Monroe High School and later was drafted for the US Army. In his time in the Army he was a medic stationed in Germany. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and outdoorsman. Bob was a steamfitter of over 30 years and was a member of the UA Local 13, Rochester, NY. He met the love of his life, Ella Mae Oliver “Ellie”, in Hemlock, NY while she was walking her dog. They were later married on August 9, 1992. Bob was a good friend to all who loved his family and the lord.

Conway, SC: Frederick McClelland, 73 years, went home to be with our Lord, March 20, 2014. He is survived by six brothers. Fred graduated from Livonia Central High School in 1957. He attended Geneseo State College and obtained degrees from there and the University of California.

Fred served in the United States Air Force, attaining the rank of Captain while flying a B-52 during the Vietnam Conflict. He resigned his commission and became a business person in California, finally settling in Conway, South Carolina.

Henrietta/Conesus: March 16, 2014 at age 90 years. Predeceased by her husband of 60 years Milfred Craft in 2006. Survived by her loving children; Diane (Craig Smith) Craft of Cortland, Betsy (Gerald) Archibald of Honeoye, John Craft of Annapolis, MD. Grandchildren; Bill Archibald, Julie Archibald, Laura Smith (fiancé Neil Ripley), David Smith, and Amanda Craft. Nieces & nephews and many family friends.

Born in Conesus NY, Laura was a longtime resident of Henrietta, North Port Florida, and Conesus Lake. She was a graduate of Syracuse University. She had a lifelong love of music. She was a music teacher, raised a family, and was an accompanist at Rush-Henrietta Schools. The family is thankful for the loving care provided by Maggie, Liz, and the Conesus Lake Nursing Home.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 2pm at the John Calvin Presbyterian Church, 50 Ward Hill Road, Henrietta, NY 14467. Honeoye Lake: Unexpectedly on March 16, 2014 at age 48. Predeceased by her father Thomas Farrell in 2011 and brother-in-law Mohsen Lachaal in 2010. Survived by her mother Mary Farrell of Honeoye, siblings; Tosh (Laurie) Farrell of Webster, Katie Farrell of Honeoye, Megan Farrell of Buffalo, Patty (Dwight) Slocum of Springwater, and Ellen (Peter Yacobucci) Farrell of Buffalo. Her beloved nieces & nephews; Caitlin, Macie, Brendan, Shane, Cormac, Brett, Erin, Tosh, Margaret, Jacob, Mia, and Rocco. She cherished the company of her extended family; including aunts, cousins, and many friends.

Mo was born on July 1, 1965 in Rochester, NY to parents Thomas & Mary Jerge Farrell. She attended Bishop Kearney High School, SUNY Geneseo, and the University of Rochester where she received her Masters Degree in Counseling and Human Development. She was a member of the SUNY Geneseo chapter of Phi Lambda Chi. As a founding member of the Trolls of G-Town, many of her life‘s greatest adventures were spent with her Troll brothers and sisters.

After graduation, she worked at Strong Memorial Hospital for over 20 years. She continued her education earning her graduate degree so she could finally reach her goal of improving the lives of the most vulnerable children in our community. As a Parent Group Leader in the Rochester Preschool Parent Program in the city school district, she found her true life’s work which revolved around the preschool children and their families serving as an advocate and helping families become integrated into their children’s educational experience.

Friends may call on Thursday from 4-7pm at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home Inc., 21 Big Tree Street, Rte 15 & 20A, Livonia. Her Funeral Mass will be held on Friday at 10:30am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 8961 Main St., Honeoye, NY.
