20 thoughts on “Maureen Farrell “Mo” ~ March 16, 2014

  1. My dearest Mo,
Nobody could sneak out of a party before any of us knew it was well past time to get home like you.
You came in, lit up our lives, taught us what it is to love unconditionally, made us laugh with such lightness of heart and smile with pure joy.
We sang. We danced (It’s not a very wet rain). We had such fun and we will miss you now, but not forever. Someday we will be together again. Peace love.

  2. I am so sad to hear of Maureen’s passing. I have so many fond memories of Maureen from our times at Geneseo (some memories are more hazy than others). Maureen was always so much fun to be around and I’m thankful that I was able to call her my friend. My deepest sympathies to the Farrell family (and the Troll family as well).

Rico (aka Puerto LL Shellard) (aka Erik Brown)

  3. We send our condolences to the Farrell family from WXXI. Mo was a regular participant with her Rochester Preschool Parent group in our WXXI workshop programs. The work she did was so important to help parents engage in their children’s education. She will be sorely missed by her colleagues, friends and the parents and families she served.

Our thoughts are with you at this difficult time.

    With deepest sympathy,
    Marion French

  4. Mary, Patty, Katie, and family

Although I cannot claim anything more than a passing acquaintance with Maureen (through church, school events she attended), I have two sisters and a daughter of my own whom I love without measure. I can’t imagine the hole that would be left if any of them passed away. Maureen seemed like such a bright spirit, the proverbial “light up a room” type who left a mark wherever she went. It sounds like she touched many lives, and that’s the best kind of life to have. Thinking of you and your family as you share memories of her and begin to heal knowing she is in good hand with the Lord.

    Love, Nancy

  14. DB, I am in disbelief that your beautiful smile no longer brightens this world. I have lots of great old memories that I will continue to cherish. My brief time as your little sister in Our sorority is an indelible memory for me- I never would have made it through Hell night and a few other challenges had it not been for your guidance with simple wisdom like, “Nicole, Hell Night won’t end until you cry”. . Sending my deepest sympathies to your family. Your big heart and sunny smile are dearly missed.
