Ronald J. White – April 27, 2018

Livonia: April 27, 2018 at age 56 years. Survived by his wife Amber Golding-White; daughter LeeAnn White; twin sons Ayden and Cameron White; sister Carol (Barry) Bartlett; brother Dick (Betty) White; nephew Chris (Pam) Bartlett and family; niece Corie Bartlett and family; and nephew Chad (Tricia) White and family.

Ron was born on January 24, 1962, in Canandaigua, New York. He was the son of the late Glenn and Ann White. Ron worked as the parts manager for Hawk Frame and Axle for the past 16 years. Ron’s hobbies included fishing, John Deere tractors, and RC racing. Everyone at the RC track called Ron “Dad.” Most importantly, Ron loved his children and enjoyed spending time with them. He was deeply loved by his family and friends, and will be greatly missed.

Alan W. Lane – April 26, 2018

Honeoye: April 26. 2018 at age 68 years. Predeceased by infant grandson, Jeremy Ryan Lane. Survived by his wife Mary Elizabeth Lane; son, Jason Lane of Bloomfield. Brother, Stephen Lane of Honeoye. Nieces & nephews.

Alan was born in Canandaigua, NY, May 24, 1949 the son of Frederick and Jean (White) Lane. He received his Associates Degree from Alfred Tech and enlisted in the Navy, June 15, 1970. In December of 2017, he retired from Velmex in Bloomfied, NY where he worked for 44 years prior to retirement as both a machinist and a salesman. He also was a member of the Conesus Lake Sportsmens Club in Lakeville.

Arlene E. Finch – April 26, 2018

Conesus/Camden, NY: Arlene passed peacefully on April 26, 2018 at age 92. She was predeceased by her husband of 73 years, Clifford J. Finch, her parents James & Mabel (Dodge) Parker, and her sister Helen Head and brothers Howard, Bert, Doug, Rollin, and James Parker.

Arlene is survived by her son Stephen Finch (Fran Whitney), daughter-in-law Mary J. Finch, granddaughters Reneè Finch (Tim FInster) and Erica Edwards, grandson-in-law Robert Edwards, her sister Bernice Lozoponi, her great-grandsons Chase and Sawyer Finster and her sisters-in-law Maxine and Kay Finch; as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Arlene was a kind and compassionate woman known for her fiery personality and her exceptional cooking. She loved her family and cared for them with a passion, including the furry members. Arlene excelled at gardening, crocheting, and crafts, and was known for her love of coffee, and Genny Light. She spent many hours sitting and observing nature and some of her fondest memories occurred in the deserts of Arizona. Arlene E. Finch will live on as a bright light in the memories of all who knew her.

Jeanne M. Barrett – April 25, 2018

Conesus: Peacefully on April 25, 2018 at age 72. Predeceased by her parents Robert & Ruth Barrett and brother-in-law Richard Giaver. Survived by her sister Lynne Giaver of Conesus; ‘nephew’ Robert (Coleen) Baldino of Spencerport and their children; Megan (Josh), Kyrstin, and Michael. Also survived by her many friends at the Lakeville United Church of Christ.

Jeanne worked at Eastman Kodak as a Production Technician for several years and then worked as a Nurses Aid at various Nursing Homes in the region, most recently being the Avon Nursing Home in Avon, NY. Jeanne also developed a passion for designing and making crafted jewelry, necklaces and earrings to sell and gift.

Dorothy M. Krause “Dottie” – April 23, 2018

Lakeville: Passed peacefully at her home on April 23, 2018 at age 88. Predeceased by her husband Edward “Grumpy” Krause. Survived by son Bob (Michele) Krause of Livonia, stepson Edward (Dorothy) Krause of Henrietta, and stepdaughters; Joan Jobes of Rochester and Lois Reese of West Henrietta. Also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Dottie was born in Rochester, NY on October 30, 1929. She married Edward “Grumpy” Krause and they lived on Conesus Lake for many years. Dottie was a retiree of Gannett Newspapers where she worked for over 20 years. After she retired she was very active in the community and volunteered in many ways, including being a foster grandparent at the Livonia Central School, helping the disabled at the Doty Building in Geneseo, NY, serving as a greeter at St. Matthew Catholic Church, and she was a long time member of the Harrison-Lee American Legion Post Auxiliary.

Honeoye: 9/10/37-4/20/18, Katharine passed peacefully surrounded by her family. She is survived by Ralph, her loving husband of 35 years. Marie B. Verschage (Vollinger) – April 18, 2018

Avon/Rush: Peacefully on April 18, 2018 at age 94, surrounded by family. Predeceased by her husband John and son Timothy. Survived by children; John, Mary Ann (Francis) D’Agostino, David (Linda), Marjorie Tubbs, Raymond (Donna), Thomas (Judy), Susanna Cady, Robert (Julie), Daniel (Cindy), Corie Bloom and James (Betsy); numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, recently a great-great grandchild and many nieces & nephews.

Marie was a devoted catholic, wife, and mother. One of her proudest accomplishments was raising twelve children. After all had entered their early school years, she then began her work career. She worked several years at Birds Eye in Avon. When the opportunity arose, she then went to work for Bauch & Lomb in Rochester as a machine operator; again for many years until she retired. Even after her retirement, she assisted her daughter in her licensed child care business to nurture and care for the children. Many of whom came to love, cherish, and called her grandma. She also enjoyed the company of family, friends and sharing old stories. Marie will be remembered for being a kind and humble woman; often putting others needs before her own.

James E. Cole – April 15, 2018

Geneseo: Went to be with the Lord on April 15, 2018 at age 77. Survived by his wife Sandra J. Cole and children; Kimberly Cole of OR, Matthew (Eileen) Cole of MA, and Lance Cole of AZ; step-daughters, Nicole (Russell) Dole of MA and Tamara (Bryan) Albert of Geneseo; 12 grandchildren. Siblings: Jean Webster, Betty Harlow, and Bill (Colleen) Cole. Also survived by several nieces and nephews, cousins, his church family at Faith Fellowship Church, and many dear friends.

Jim was born on November 14, 1940 in Lowell, MA to parents Horatio and Violet (Hicks) Cole. He graduated from Concord High School and later served in the US Air Force from 1959-1963. Jim worked as a welding supervisor at Broomfield Labs in Bolton, MA for 27 years. He served faithfully at Hope Chapel in Sterling, MA and later after moving to Geneseo, NY, he attended and served at Faith Fellowship Church in Lakeville, NY. Jim was an avid golfer at Sonyea Golf Club for many years.

Roger was born on November 14, 1944 in Rochester, NY to parent Louis and Betty Waden. He was a graduate of Livonia High School and later worked at Kodak, drove truck for the Agway in Dansville, and in later years worked for the Democrat & Chronicle. In his early years he enjoyed working with horses and belonged to a club in the Livonia area. He loved Nascar and his favorite driver was always Dale Earnhardt Jr. Roger was a sports fan and especially enjoyed watching Alabama College Football.

Livonia/Lima: April 6, 2018 at age 74 years. Predeceased by her parents Maynard & Mildred Kohler, sister Joyce McGrain, brother-in-law Albert McGrain, niece Nancy McGrain and twin daughters Kimberly Ann and Amy Elizabeth. E. Michael Saunders ~ April 4, 2018

Ossian: April 4, 2018, at age 56 years. Predeceased by his sister, Mary Saunders Beiermann; Survived by his children, Christina Saunders (Brad) Hollrock of Lake Placid & Blake Sawdey of Dansville; his granddaughter, Avery Saunders Hollrock; his parents, E. Philip & Carole West Saunders of Ossian; his brother, Philip M. (Cathy) Saunders of Ossian; sister Patty Saunders (Mark) Redding of Victor. Also, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.

Michael graduated from Dansville Central School and proceeded on to Syracuse University where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management. He had a 35-year career at Saunders Management, where he was most recently President of Essex Properties. He also served as Secretary of the Saunders Foundation.

Michael loved living nearby his family on the family farm. Michael was an expert trout fisherman. He loved collectible cars, motorcycles, motocross, snowmobiling, and was an excellent chef.
