I only got to meet him once after we bought one of the land parcels due north from his home across the wetlands! Myself being of agrarian heritage, mostly Indiana and Missouri, we saw this property and new it could be loved to grow most anything, share it with the wildlife without fear of hunting, and set up for solar power. He took care of the land. Our friends the Forsburgs always spoke highly of Dick. It was an honor to meet him. It continues to be an honor to work at being good stewards of the land he farmed too! May he rest in peace.
Such a sweet, gentle man , I was fortunate to have known him ! So sorry for your loss.
To one of our most favorite Uncles, Uncle Dick!
