Walter I. Taylor – September 27, 2017

 

Livonia:  September 27, 2017 at age 76 years after an extended illness.  Predeceased by his parents George & Marjorie Taylor and his sister Gail Distefano. Survived by his wife Sheila (Frisbee) Taylor; his son Glen Taylor (Kelly Johnson) of Shortsville; grandchildren, Matthew Taylor of FL and Nicole (Andrew) Wagner of WA; sister Linda Taylor of Livonia and his brother Warren Taylor of Irondequoit.  Also survived by several nieces including special niece Nadine Taylor.

Walt was born on November 26, 1940 in Rochester, NY to parents George & Marjorie (McLellan) Taylor.  He attended and graduated from Madison High School.  He was a long time employee of Niagara Mohawk in Avon, NY and retired from National Grid in 1999.  He had a true love of the outdoors, in younger years he was very active in Boy Scouts, and enjoyed Native American Culture.

Thomas A. Shea – September 26, 2017

Canadice:  Tom Shea of Canadice, NY died suddenly at his home on Tuesday September 26, 2017 at the age of 68.

He was predeceased by his parents Stella & William Shea.  He leaves behind his wife and best friend of 39 years Mary (Fraser) Shea; his three daughters, Jennifer Shea (Tim Hayes) of Wayland, Melissa Shea-Brooks (Stephen) of Rochester and Leah Shea (Joe Shepard) of Geneseo; and his brother, Ed (Harriet) Shea of Columbus, OH.  Tom was also blessed with five grandchildren; Layla, Erin, Brennon, Emily, and Dylan.  Tom will be sorely missed by his furry companions; Grady, Chloe, and Tia as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Tom spent the majority of his life as a machinist in the Rochester, NY area but his passion was with music.  He toured the country with his band The Whey in the 1960’s before settling down with his family in the 1970’s.  His musical talents with both guitar and drums remained strong throughout the years.  His death comes as a shock as he had successfully survived an aggressive form of bladder cancer earlier this year.

There will be no prior calling hours.  A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 29th, 11am at the Kevin W. Gilbert A. Rowley “Gil” – September 26, 2017

Honeoye:  Peacefully on September 26, 2017 at age 87 years.  Predeceased by his wife Alice Ann (Bennett) Rowley in 2011 and his sister Edna (Rowley) Ingerick.  Survived by his son Richard (Karen) Rowley of Livonia and his daughter Debra C.  Green of Canadice; grandchildren, Kevin (Sarah) Rowley, Gina (Christian) Roth, and Mellisa (Thomas) Grisel; great-granddaughter Nora Rowley.  Also survived by beloved friend Barbara Reed, his sister Jane Cratsley, brother-in-laws Roger Bennett and Joe Ingerick, many nieces & nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Gil was born on September 19, 1930 in Hemlock, NY to parents Gilbert & Annabelle Rowley.  He graduated from Hemlock High School with honors and then went to Honeoye Central School for post graduate work.  After school he entered the US Army and served during the Korean War, stationed in Japan.  While in the service Gil married Alice Ann (Bennett) Rowley and they were married for almost 60 years.  Gil was a heavy equipment mechanic with the Operating Engineers Union in Rochester, NY.  He always enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter, trapper, fisherman, and camper.  He was a member and officer with the New York State Coachman Camping Club.  Gil was a member of the Honeoye-Hemlock American Legion, the Honeoye Masonic Lodge, and the Happy Campers.  He loved to travel and talk about his adventures.  He loved to drive.

Nathaniel J. Panipinto “Nate” – September 20, 2017

Conesus:  Unexpectedly on September 20, 2017 at age 30 years.  Predeceased by his brother Michael and his grandparents.  Survived by his parents Ken (Cyndy) Panipinto and his siblings; Michelle (Rob) Link, Matt Panipinto, Tony (Michelle) Panipinto, and Jared (Frankie) Panipinto; nieces & nephews, Mandee, Dez, Robby, Brittany, Gabe Link and Mariah Panipinto, several aunts & uncles, cousins, close friends including Marc & Matt Johnson and Aaron Adams.

Nate was born on November 13, 1986 in Warsaw, NY to parents Kenneth and Cynthia Panipinto.  He loved playing guitar and was a talented musician.  Nate loved his family, time spent together with them, and always had a great sense of humor.

Ronald E. Baylor – September 19, 2017

Conesus:  September 19, 2017 at age 79 years.  Predeceased by his parents Russell & Gladys (Stark) Baylor; brothers, Russell & Earl Baylor, and his sister Doris Rabinold. Survived by his wife Susie (Lowery) Baylor and children; Sherri (Tony) Tipton, Wendy Baylor, and Mindy (Robert) Grant.  4 Grandchildren and 1 great grandson.  Also survived by his brother Donald (Jackie) Baylor of Avon, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Ron was a long time Mason and member of Livonia Lodge # 778.  He also belonged to the Shriners Society and the Scottish Rite.  Ron served in the PA Army National Guard and was a long time resident of Conesus.

Mildred Anna Spock – Rider “Millie” – September 17, 2017

Canandaigua: Mildred Anna Spock-Rider (Millie) was born on January 25th, 1947, and peacefully went home to God on September 17th, 2017 surrounded by loved ones.  She is predeceased by her first husband, Frank Spock, who died in 1995, and survived by her new husband of 3 months, Bill Rider.  She also has a daughter: Pamela Spock/Oliveira, a son: Frank Spock, and two beloved grandsons: Max and Spencer Spock.
Millie was born in Rochester, N.Y., adopted by Mildred and Leo Saxe, and raised as an only child.  When she was approximately 55 years old, however, she had the gift of finding her birth family which included 9 brothers and sisters!  Her mother’s maiden name was Jeannette Coyer.
Millie had many unique adventures in life, including living in Aurora (Denver) Colorado for a few years, traveling cross-country in a motor home, running a gift/craft shop in Bristol N.Y., volunteering on the Red Cross disaster team, going to Ethiopia on a short-term mission trip, owning a campground, and having a small antique business.  Her interests included collecting fossils and minerals, garage sales, but most of all, enjoying her family and grandsons.
Millie will be buried on Saturday September 23rd, 2017 at 1 p.m. at the Evergreen Cemetery located at: 7177 County Road 2, Bloomfield NY 14469.  The short burial will be followed by a Celebration of Life Gathering, sharing food and memories at the nearby church hall.

Joseph W. Deats – September 17, 2017

Jean Richards (Watson) – September 15, 2017

Livonia:  Peacefully at home on September 15, 2017 at age 92.  Predeceased by her son John Richards and her brother-in-law Bill Price.  Survived by her son Peter (Chris) Richards of Livonia, grandchildren; Jeremiah, Clint, and Dan Richards; her sister Zena Price, daughter-in-law Linda Richards, and nephew Tom (Robyn) Price.

Jean was born on June 7, 1925 in Rochester, NY to parents Jack & Betty Watson.  She loved animals, gardening, and her grandsons.  She was always there to help when needed and loved her family dearly.

Richard D. Beardsley “Rick” – September 14, 2017

Conesus:  Peacefully on September 14, 2017 at age 71 years.  Survived by his wife of 40 years, Helen Beardsley and children;  Larry (Heidi) Beardsley, Richard Beardsley, and Dawn Benitez; 6 grandchildren, his sister Pat, nieces & nephews, close friend Forrest Shorrey, and many other family & friends.

Rick was a retiree of General Motors and was a veteran of the US Navy serving from 1964-67, one of his stations being on the USS Sequoia, the presidential yacht.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend.  In his younger years he loved to hunt, fish, and be outdoors.

Marilyn L. McNicholas – September 12, 2017

Geneseo/Peru:  Born on March 10, 1926 in Oswego, NY, to Hattie (Patterson) and George Lord, who preceded her in death.  Marilyn passed peacefully at her home, surrounded by family, on September 12, 2017 at age 91.

She had an Associate’s Degree in nursing and worked for a short time at Mt. Sinai Hospital, New York City. In 1951, she married “Frank” Francis McNicholas and turned in her nursing cap to raise their three children and care for both her aging mother-in-law and mother.

Marilyn was a creative and expert seamstress and had her own custom sewing business, “Draperies by Marilyn.” She designed and sewed beautiful window treatments, furniture covers and related items for home and commercial clients throughout New York State for over twenty years.

Marilyn and Frank were happily married for 57 years and enjoyed visiting their children and grandchildren, and exploring various parts of the country.  When Frank passed away in 2008, Marilyn moved out to the Rochester area to be closer to family.  She found great comfort in living out her life in her own home, sharing many happy times and events with her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and her cat, Jamie.

She is survived by daughters Linda (Larry) Morris of NH & Ruth (Jim) Doyle of NM, son David (Debbie) McNicholas of Conesus, grandchildren Lukas Morris, Jimmy (Heidi) Doyle, Lauren Doyle, Brandi Karr, Crystal (Shawn) Konzel, Melissa and Shannon McNicholas, and great-grandchildren River and Bridger Doyle, and Ryan and Trenton Konzel.

Pamela J. Banker – September 10, 2017

Pastor Richard William Hass – September 9, 2017

Hemlock:  Peacefully on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at age 91 years Pastor Hass went to be with the Lord. Predeceased by his wife Dora and his sister Betty.  Survived by his sons; Mike (Vicky) Hass of Bristol, Bob (Laura) Hass of Forrestport, and Kevin (Dawn) Hass of Canadice.  Grandchildren and great-grandchildren, his sister June, and several nieces & nephews.  Pastor Hass served his country in the US Navy during WWII and was the pastor at the Spring-Way Baptist Church.

Joan P. Feneran – September 6, 2017

Leesburg, FL:   September 6, 2017; Joan P. Feneran, age 79, passed away unexpectedly. She was born on February 18, 1938 in Penn Yan, New York. Beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and  great-grandmother.

She is survived by her husband Thomas Feneran and five children; David (Pam) Young of Conesus, NY, Diane Young of Panama, NY, Douglas (Darcy) Young of Geneseo, NY, Robin (David) Gabel of Silver Creek, NY, and Wendy (Michael) Dempsey of Macomb Township, MI.  Joan is also survived by eleven loving grandchildren Tanya, Derek, Brandon, Douglas Jr., Carley, Aaron, Dylan, Ryan, Jordan, Brendan and Jenna; six great-grandchildren Tyresse, Trayce, Trysten, Caitlyn, Alden and Oliver; two sisters Gwen Pesce and Charlene Boyce; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Philip C. D’Angelo – September 2, 2017

Caledonia:  Philip Carl D’Angelo was born on June 11, 1934 and he died peacefully on September 2, 2017 after a long illness.

He is predeceased by his parents Carl and Victoria D’Angelo.  He is survived by his sister, Mae Gullo, his son Jeffrey (Michele Avery) D’Angelo of Farmington, and his daughters; Lisa (Michael Martin) D’Angelo of Honeoye Falls and Karen Riber of St. Petersburg, FL.  Seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Dr. D’Angelo spent most of his life in Caledonia where his parents owned a variety store for many years.  He graduated from Caledonia-Mumford in 1952, and from the University of Buffalo is 1956.  After one year of graduate studies Philip went to dental school and graduated from the University of Buffalo Dental School in 1961.  He was President of the UB Dental Fraternity during his last year of dental school.  Philip served in the US Air Force at Lincoln Air Force Base in Lincoln, Nebraska from August 1961 until August 1963.  In the fall of 1963 he opened his dental practice in Caledonia and maintained that practice for close to 40 years.

In his younger years, Dr. D’Angelo enjoyed boating, swimming and water skiing at a family cottage at Conesus Lake.  Prior to his illness, he spent many years enjoying his friends and extensive family, and especially his seven grandchildren.  He was member of the Matthew Cleary American Legion Post 255, the Livingston County Dental Society and also served on the Caledonia-Mumford School Board.
