Avon: At age 82, Don passed peacefully at home on December 25, 2023. He was born on July 26, 1941 in Lima, NY to the late Frank and Mary (Atchinson) Brisbane. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his son John Anderson and siblings; Howard, Sonnie, Gladys, Mary, and Mildred. Survived by his wife Joan (Tuttle) Brisbane and children; Donald (Toni) Brisbane Jr. of Lakeville and Sue Brooks of Wayland; grandchildren, Missy, Spencer, Brandon and Cayla; 3 great-grandchildren; also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
Donald enjoyed visiting and being visited by family and friends. He traveled to many places on his trike which put a big smile on his face! Another love he had was playing shuffle board on his winter stays in Florida. He played in enough matches to earn his Pro status. He also enjoyed a good hand of cards with friends. Don was an avid hunter and enjoyed taking care of his land, mowing and resting beside his bonfires with family and friends. He never hesitated to help anybody that needed it! He now rests with his favorite dog Morris and cat Liberty..
Family and friends may call on Saturday, December 30th, from 12noon-2pm at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home Inc., 21 Big Tree Street, Rte 15 & 20A, Livonia, where Don’s Funeral Service will be held at 2pm, following calling hours. Burial to follow at East Avon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Livingston County Hospice, 2 Murray Hill Drive, Mt. Morris, NY 14510. We are sorry to hear of Don’s passing. We own the camp in Conesus next to yours. Our boys were very fond of Don. He was always friendly, kind, and enjoyed talking with the boys about hunting. You could tell he enjoyed mowing and camping around a fire. We will miss our chats with him,

Joan & family, so sorry to learn of Dons passing. It was always fun competing against Don in shuffleboard he was a wonderful sport. He was not only that, but more so , he made the game of shuffleboard fun! He will be missed by many of us who were blessed to have met him through the game of Shuffle.
