Honeoye/Livonia : Kolleen passed away on October 23, 2017, at age 42, after many years of a rare brain disease. She was a patient at Monroe Community Hospital for several years. She is survived by her parents Rod and Karyl Wixted, sister Maura (Glenn) White, her precious nieces Hannah & Molly. She also leaves behind two aunts; Rhoma (Guy) Smith and Sally (David) Smith, great aunts, cousins, and dear friends.
Kolleen was born on April 4, 1975 in Canandaigua, NY to parents Rodney and Karyl (Johnston) Wixted. She graduated from Honeoye Central School, played on the soccer and softball teams, and also played saxophone in the jazz band. Kolleen’s love of music brought her joy and happiness through her entire life, especially the music events at Monroe Community Hospital.

I was with Kolleen at your home in 2012 and part of 2013. I enjoyed spending time with her; watching movies, talking about the ‘trinkets’ she had in her room, and her time at school. I was saddened to hear of her passing, but I know she is happy and watching over all of you.
Rod and Karyl, We are very sad at the passing of Kolleen. We were sorry we missed your service, but be known our prayers are with you all. We miss our visits and talks to you both.
I am so sorry to hear of Kolleen’s passing. She was such a special person with such talent for music, sports, academics etc. I know those who went to Honeoye with her are grieving along with your family. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Kolleen was a wonderful young lady who almost always had a smile on her face. I was blessed to have had an opportunity to know her. She made this world a better place. I wish her family love and peace in the days ahead.
My heart goes out to you as you mourn Kolleen’s passing. My memories of her as a little first grader are very special. She was a delight and a friend to all. May your memories of special times together help you in this difficult time.
Kolleen was very special to me. We spent a lot of time together at night watching Hallmark movies. She seemed like another daughter to me and we got along very well. I missed those nights long after she moved. I have thought about her a lot and wished I could have visited her more than what I did. I will never forget the times we had. God Bless her.
Kolleen was one of “my” very special little girls! Her beautiful smile and bubbly personality will always hold a place in my heart. She was blessed to be a part of such a wonderful,caring family !
