  1. I worked with Dave at Livonia School. He was always so helpful around the building. His smile would warm up the hallways and his dedication to working with the students was great. Dave made the high school a great place and his smile made the kids feel special and safe. He was so special to our Livonia family and he will be dearly missed. Rest in peace, Dave. You have made us all better people by knowing and working with you. I will miss you around here!

  2. My daughter would like to take a moment to say she is sorry for your loss. Every day during the lacrosse season Dave would be sure to have the door was unlocked for the JV lacrosse girls to exit and enter the building. (They used a side door that was usually locked.) He would ask how their day was and how practice went. He was kind and always had a smile. We are sending our thoughts and prayers to his family and friends.

  3. Thinking of you as I walk these hallways
Your determination, your drive, to make this place these halls, this
building, a much happier and safer place for us all
You have touched so many lives my friend
I wish I had said these words before Dave, “Thank you” for making
my life happier, safer, and inspired
I took for granted that you would always be here Dave!
Your presence, your being, will always be felt within these halls
Thinking of you as you walk the hallways of heaven

  4. Dear Bob, Pat, and Maureen–I am so sorry. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this very sad time.

  5. I will surely miss Dave. He always greeted me by name with a big smile. I work as an assistant in the athletic office at school. Many times I received compliments about Dave from the outside groups that use our facilities, saying how pleasant, kind and helpful he was to them. Dave was a wonderful man and friend. Wishing you peace.

  6. I always enjoyed chatting with Dave at school. We shared stories about Alaska and its natural beauty. He was a fisherman for many years there which impressed me so, as I know that profession certainly requires an adventurous spirit. He was always pleasant and always focused on keeping our school in order. Dave’s presence shall be missed in the halls of Livonia, but I believe his positive spirit will always remain.

Know my healing thoughts are with you during this tragic time of loss. To live in hearts that love is not to die………
    Wishing you gentle days ahead-

  7. Dave,
I will miss you my friend. All the talks, laughs, grumbles, and stories were a VERY important part of my life and day. I will see you again in a place I long for each and every day and am glad you are in that place of peace, love, and indescribable beauty with our Father and Savior Jesus Christ.
May God bless your family with strength, peace, and understanding as they mourn their loss of a very good man!

  8. I will always remember Dave for his kindness. He was truly an asset to our school and meant a lot to the staff and students. He will be missed!

  9. I will cherish the memories and many stories Dave has shared over the years at LCS. Sometimes when I would go over to school in the evening to set up a lab or do some copying I always knew Dave was making his way around the Science Department. There would be music and a fresh breeze flowing through the hallway (he loved fresh air!). Dave was dedicated to his job and cherished his family deeply. R.I.P. my friend….you will be missed

“Nature’s peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop off like autumn leaves.”
