Honeoye: November 18, 2009 at age 78 years. Predeceased by son John H. Hergenroder. Survived by husband of 60 years, Donald Hergenroder. Children; Donene Conole of Rochester, Kathleen Kuntz of DuBois, PA, Paul Hergenroder of Springwater, Jane Hergenroder of Rochester, Janet McConnell of DuBois, PA, and Mark (Betty) Hergenroder of Rochester. Sister; Karen (Robert) Bowser of DuBois, PA, Brothers; Charles (Colleen) DeChurch of Renton, WA and Nicholas (Marge) DeChurch of Big Run, PA. Also survived by 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and friends.

Irene was born August 22, 1931 in Sykesville, Pennsylvania to parents Anthony and Mary (Phillips) DeChurch. She worked many years as a dedicated employee of the Rochester City School District. Irene was a member of the St. Mary’s Rosary Society and also an active member of the Honeoye-Hemlock American Legion Auxiliary.

Family and friends may call today (Sunday) at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home Inc., 8796 Briggs Street, Honeoye, from 3pm-7pm. A funeral mass will be held at St. Mary’s Church, 8961 Main Street, Honeoye, on Monday at 10:30am. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s cemetery and Rev. John Hayes will be the celebrant.
