Livonia: Bessie J (Obbie) Cicero, July 11, 2013 at age 84. Predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Samual J Cicero, daughter Mary, granddaughter Leanne. She was born May 18, 1929, daughter of Charles and Mary Palermo Obbie. A graduate of Webster High School, she married Sam Cicero in 1949. Bessie was a member of the former St. Joseph’s Church in Livonia, and a member of St. Matthew Church also in Livonia, where she was a sacristan and sang in the choir.
Survived by children, Joseph (Michelle) Cicero of Honeoye, Charles (Lois) Cicero of Livonia, Samuel Jr (James Yost) of Rochester, Virginia (James Jr) Stefano of Livonia, Janet (John) Donato of Henrietta; 15 grandchildren & 12 great-grandchildren; Sister, Millie (Joseph) Schillaci of Webster; Sisters-in-law Patricia Obbie of Webster, Rosemary Cicero of Livonia, and Lucy Finocchario of South Lima; many nieces & nephews.

Charles, Lois, Charles, Mary & Sammy-Please accept my sympathy and condolence on the passing of your Mother And Grandmother. We were both members of the Shawl Ministry at St. Matthew. Bessie was always a welcome friend to us all there as we knitted and laughed together. Her skill was a true talent and she was always willing to assist those of us who needed her help. When I donated some yarn to our Ministry, Bessie made a beautiful scarf for me in appreciation. She was always a delight and I will remember her fondly. Bessie was such a wonderful woman. She was so good about praying for people when they needed that extra special prayer. She was one of the first people I met here in Livonia at CCD. She and Sam were so dedicated to their faith. She will be missed.
