She worked at various daycare centers before opening her own in home daycare, where she was blessed with meeting many wonderful children and families, who quickly became part of her family. Many of those who she had in daycare continued to stay in touch throughout the years.
Diane was a girl scout leader for 8 years. She also enjoyed attending sporting events that Cara or other family and friends were involved in. Diane enjoyed camping at Evergreen Trails and in her younger years she enjoyed going to stock car races.
She enjoyed the simple things in life…visiting with family, going to a park, playing cards, making crafts with all the kids she cared for, going for car rides and being outside. Diane was a loving, caring and devoted mother to Cara. Over the years, she was a special caregiver for many children.

Diane and Cara, GOD BLESS you both. Diane, I wish that I had known you years ago. Through my relationship with Cara, I was able to understand you but by then your sight and health were failing. It is very clear that you have had a FULL life and many Livonia families have been blessed by your TLC. Cara’s grief is special because of your very special relationship. Those of us who have lost our mother know and understand the loss, but Cara’s loss is multiplied because of your special relationship. We pray for you both.

Dan Downey and Elwood Peck were the first two people that we met when we moved into 20 Big Tree Street. Dan spent countless hours at the park so that the Livonia Community could gather and party. He was always a willing and eager volunteer. Dan will be MISSED but NOT FORGOTTEN.
Dear Cara! I am so sorry to hear of your mom’s passing. She was so dear to me during our years together in school! I am happy to hear that she she had such a full and happy ? life! May the Lord continue to Bless you and your family with peace and comfort that goes beyond all understanding!
My sympathies Cara and Donna . Diane was a dear friend and coworker for years. We shared a love of children at the Early Childhood Center and Annies Ark. Her laughter and her love of conversation remain in my thoughts. May the memories wrap their arms around you as God covers you in His comfort and peace.
Sincere condolences for Cara, and all of Diane’s family, those who loved her, as well as all those she held in her heart. I remember her as a very kind and sweet person.
Cara, although we have never met the connection is there. The Stewart family were well known in the community, as you know, and Arlene was a dear friend of my parents. May Diane find peace as she reunites with her heavenly family. May you find peace and comfort in the love that surrounds you.
Cara, our hearts are filled with sadness with the loss of your mom. She was an amazing child care giver, as we were lucky to have her in our lives taking care of Delaney. She always wanted to know what she was up to when I stopped to see her. You learned her care giving greatness and took such loving care of her. If there is anything you need, please don’t hesitate to ask. We are here for you as she was for us.
Another star will be shining brightly above. Thoughts and prayers to you and family.
Josette & Dave Peck
