Charles “Charlie” F. McGory Jr. ~ December 22, 2024

Honeoye:  At age 85, Charlie passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2024, at FF Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua.  He was born on September 13, 1939, in Canandaigua, NY to the late Charles Fletcher and Agnes (Verstrate) McGory.  Charlie is predeceased by his sisters, Kathleen McGory and Alice McGory.  Survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Beverly (Matthews) McGory, his sons, Bernie McGory and Brian McGory, and his grandchildren, Alexandria McGory, Kevin McGory, and Shaylyn McGory, along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

    I enjoyed all the conversations I had with Charlie. His humor, honesty, and incredible hard work made him who he was. He will be truly missed but never forgotten.

  3. In so many ways, I felt, Charlie was a founding father of Honeoye.
    He was a hard worker and it showed with the many Business he had going..
    He seemed to have been dealt a whole bunch of lemons in his life. He didn’t let them rot though.. He used them as stepping stones to next business.
    Charlie….one of a kind and a great one.

    Charlie helped me out so much back when I was just getting started with a family of my own.
    Charlie was a big part of many people’s lives and he will never be forgotten!

  7. Charlie McGory was a special person to me not just a boss. I made many friends working for him. We had many heartfelt chats over the years. Thank you Charlie for being a good friend.
