Alonzo “Lonn” C. Rathbun ~ April 28, 2024

Mount Morris: At age 93, Lonn passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 28, 2024, at the Livingston County CNR in Mount Morris, NY. He was born on November 14, 1930, in Coldspring, New York to the late Dana and Elsie Rathbun. Lonn is predeceased by his sisters, Mary Sherman and Thelma Bailey. Survived by his children, James (Mary Jane) Rathbun, Sue Ellen Rathbun, and Michael (Jill) Rathbun, and his 6 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild, along with several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Shortly after graduating from York High School, Lonn went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Air Force.  He was a Koren War Veteran and served his country for 14 years.  After his honorable discharge in 1965, he went on to work as a computer supervisor at Wright Patterson Air Force Base.

A Memorial Service with Military Honors will take place at 2PM on Sunday, June 2, 2024 at South Dansville United Methodist Church, 9667 County Road 46 in Arkport, NY with Pastor Greg White as celebrant. A Celebration of Life Gathering will take place immediately following Lonn’s Memorial Service at The Gathering Place.   2. After taking care of Alonzo for several months my heart grew very fond of him! It is such relief knowing he is no longer suffering! Rest Easy my friend!
