Springwater: At age 71, Jerry passed suddenly on Tuesday, February 6, 2024. He is survived by his wife, Martha, (Jopson) Ryder, brother, Douglas Ryder, nephew, Cory Ryder, and numerous cousins. Jerry was predeceased by his parents, Roland and Clara Ryder, sister-in-law, Terry Ryder, and nephew, Douglas Ryder Jr.

Jerry and Martha have been together for 48 years. He retired from the Brighton School District after 30+ years of service. When Jerry was younger, he enjoyed working on the farm with his grandfather, cousins and working on automobiles. He also looked forward to going out and listening to local bands, playing euchre, watching NASCAR, and watching his favorite football teams, the Kansas City Chiefs and the Buffalo Bills.

Friends and family are invited to call from 4-6PM on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at the Kevin Dougherty Funeral Home, 21 Big Tree Street in Livonia NY, where Jerry’s Memorial Service will take place following calling.
