Michael David Hilimire ~ February 6, 2024

 

Geneseo/Livonia, NY: Michael David Hilimire, age 37, passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at his home in Geneseo.

He was predeceased by his wife, Peggy O’Neil Hilimire, his Grandparents David and Linda Scoville. Richard and Marilyn Hilimire. His Uncle Rick Hilimire.

He is survived by his beloved daughter Isla. His parents Ron and Allison Hilimire, his brothers, Matthew (Laura) Hilimire, and Thomas (Nicole) Hilimire. Heather McFarlane (Isla’s mother), many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Michael was born April 30, 1986 in Rochester NY to Ron and Allison Hilimire. He was a graduate of Livonia High School and Monroe Community College.

He went on to form his own woodworking business from the ground up, specializing mainly in guitar making. He is a very talented artist and guitar player, he plays both bass and acoustic. He enjoyed the outdoors, snowboarding, and hiking, especially with his black lab Nero.

His proudest moment came with the birth of his daughter Isla. He beamed when speaking of her and loved to show her pictures off, he truly loved being a father.
She was his happy place.

Michael surely was never a conformist, and you knew exactly where you stood with him. He did it his way, always, since birth. He lived a pretty active and interesting life. His friends and family will deeply miss him.

Friends and family are invited to call from 4-7PM on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at the Kevin Dougherty Funeral Home, 21 Big Tree Street in Livonia NY, where Michael’s Memorial Service will take place at 11 AM on Wednesday, February 14, 2024. Interment will immediately follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery on Shelly Road in Livonia. A luncheon will take following the graveside service at the Harrison-Lee American Legion, 3850 Federal Road in Livonia, NY,  all are welcome.   16. He made a beautiful alder guitar body for me recently. I wish I could share a picture with you all of the instrument it became. It will special meaning to me. Deepest condolences to all his family and friends.
