Honeoye: At age 80, Jean passed peacefully on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at the Vincent Hospice House in Wayland, NY. She was born on February 11, 1943 in Springwater, NY to the late Harold and Marian (Morgan) Whiteman. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Gordon Rowley and siblings, Harold Whiteman, Gladys Swick, John Whiteman, and William Whiteman. Survived by sons, Ronald Rowley of New Jersey and Michael Rowley of Florida; siblings, Nancy (Richard) Smith of Dansville and Marge Thompson (Jim Reynolds) of PA; also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Jean attended Livonia High School graduating in 1961 and worked at Strong Memorial prior to marrying Gordon in 1964. A farmer’s wife, Jean raised 2 children and managed the family farm. Jean enjoyed Western movies and shows, country music, Elvis and enjoyed doing crossword and Jigsaw puzzles. Throughout life Jean remained close to
her siblings and extended family. She always remained positive and never complained throughout the trials and tribulations of life.

A Graveside Service will be held for Jean in the spring at Richmond Center Cemetery, Honeoye, NY.
