Terry William Dimmick ~ August 7, 2023

Livonia:  At age 71, Terry passed away at Strong Hospital after a long illness on Monday, August 7, 2023. He was born on April 28, 1952 to William and Ella Dimmick. He was predeceased by his brother Denny Dimmick and Sister Linda Burgoyne.

He is survived by his brothers, Arnold Dimmick, and Stephen Dimmick (Andrea); his children, Kelley Dimmick, and Heather Bowman (Chad); grandchildren, Alexander Dimmick (Haley Law), Samantha Cerone ( Dylan Burns-Smith) , Tye Cerone, Marissa Bowman, and Arianna Bowman; great grandchildren Alaska Raine, Christine Dimmick, Sakari Skye William Dimmick, Shelby Jolea Burns-Smith, Kinsley June Burns Smith, and soon to be great grandson; and Linda Kelley the mother of his children.

Terry grew up in South Livonia on Decker Road with his siblings until the passing of his Mother. He graduated from Livonia High School in 1970. Terry worked many jobs until he started working for Strohmann’s bakeries in 1975, retiring after 37 years. He loved his family with all of his heart; you could never stop the smiles when the grandkids or great grandkids came into the room. He loved his scratch off tickets and all of us thought he had the luck, which he usually did. He was an amazing dad, grandfather, brother, and friend.

  4. I graduated from Livonia high school with terry great classmate . I’m would see him at west shop wise on and off and would always get a happy hello . Terry you will be missed ,Rest In Peace.

  5. My heart is heavy with condolences to the family, this made me cry reading the obituary. His smile, so toothy and bright!!! It was the first, and last thing you always saw with him. I hope that reminiscing the good days. Brings you peace at such a difficult and sad time. There must be many to tell. Hold onto the good times. And that smile….   6. So sorry to hear of Terry’s passing. So many memories of growing up in South Livonia with the gang (the Kelley’s, the Kiefer’s, Betty Johnston and his brothers Arnold and Denny). You were a great friend and a fellow member of the Livonia Class of 1970. RIP Terry. You will be missed.

  7. Terry was a great person, always with a smile. A gentle man, very family oriented and always spoke with love about them. He will be missed. Now he’s with his brother. I remember once while working in Wests the two, mostly Terry, would buy scratch off s and Denny said “we’re working on him, I’m his sponsor”.
