Canandaigua, NY:  At age 83, Gordon passed peacefully on June 18, 2023 at F.F. Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua, NY.  He was born on August 12, 1939 in Canandaigua, NY to the late Lloyd and Hazel (Parker) Potter.  In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his sister Barbara Lyke.  Survived by his daughter Karen (Tim) Marshall of Bath, NY; grandsons, Dylan Marshall and Justin Marshall; and his brother Robert Potter of Manchester, NY.  Also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends including his close friend Stan.

Gordy enjoyed racing all over but spent most of his time at the Canandaigua Speedway. He loved all sports and you would often find him supporting Red Jacket school sports.  Gordy was a retiree of Exxon Mobil in Canandaigua, NY.

Per Gordy’s wishes no formal funeral services will be held.  Interment will take place privately at Brookside Cemetery, Shortsville, NY.  Memorial contributions may be made in Gordy’s memory to the  F.F.
