Brian M. Wickman – June 30, 2022

Victor/Honeoye:  Brian Wickman, 28, passed away June 30, 2022. He was raised in Nazareth, Pennsylvania, where John and Colleen Wickman raised a boy with a big personality but an even bigger heart. His family later moved to Tuttle, Oklahoma where Brian graduated from Tuttle High School in 2011. In the fall of 2012, he attended the University of Central Oklahoma where he fell in love with Allison Calton of Lawton, Oklahoma. He proposed to Allison in front of her family at her grandparent’s house and they were married in August of 2015. Together, they moved to New York in 2016 where they welcomed their son Eli in 2017 followed by their daughter Reese in 2019. The birth of his children was the highlight of his life.

He was passionate about everything that he did, from working on cars to music. As an avid outdoorsman, he loved hunting, guns, camping, and going to the beach. Brian loved taking his children to the trampoline park, his parents’ house and riding snowmobiles, working on cars, and running free across their land. He loves his children so deeply. Brian was a jack of all trades who found his most rewarding work in the rush of restaurants.

Everything Brian did was effortless. With his naturally charismatic charm, it’s no surprise that he made friends everywhere he went without having to try. Brian was a very kind soul who gave his all to everyone around him, never expecting anything in return. He was a lifelong leader, a friend to all, and never left without saying “I love you.”

Brian was predeceased by his grandparents Jack and Rose Wickman & William and Elsie McGrory.  Survived by his wife of 7 years, Allison (Calton) Wickman and children; Eli and Reese Wickman; parents, John and Colleen (McGrory) Wickman of Honeoye; sister, Christine Wickman of PA; nieces, Adaline and Aurora Adams; best friend Alex Winters of MN and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Family and friends may call on Wednesday, July 6th, from 3-6pm at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home Inc., 8624 Main Street, Rte 20A, Honeoye, NY.  Interment will be held privately.  In lieu of flowers and in Brian’s memory memorial contributions may be made to his children Eli and Reese, C/O Allison Wickman, 7410 Forrest Trail #317, Victor, NY 14564.  To send a condolence or share a memory please visit:  www.doughertyfuneralhomes.com

  1. Brian you will truly be missed. Though we saw very little of you over the past few years once you left for bigger adventures in Oklahoma our memories of you here in Nazareth are many. That cute little blonde baby, silly little toddler, boisterous bike rider in the neighborhood. Uncle Bob won’t forget that hot summer day you were passing by our house on your bike, you jumped off that bike and helped your uncle by finishing mowing our lawn. Kind hearted. You have created a beautiful family and a close loving relationship with many friends. You lived so much in your very short time on this earth. Yes, you will truly be missed. Love Aunt Kathy and Uncle Bob.

  7. To have known Brian was to have known unconditional love—regardless of who you were or what troubles you were facing he would love you, absolutely no questions asked. He was one person you knew would be in your corner no matter what, simply because you were family and to him, family was the most cherished thing in life. Brian truly taught me what unconditional love is. His constant energy and enthusiasm will be missed but I know he will be with us at every family gathering, happy that we are together,

  8. Brian, you were one of my best friends growing up and we stayed in touch even after all these years. It was a pleasure watching you become a father and start your own family. You were the source of so many laughs and great times over the years. I’ll never forget the moments we shared.

    Love you brother,
    Nick (the yea man)

  9. Dear Brian,
We will never let go of all the memories we’ve gathered throughout the years with you, your mom, dad and Chrissy. From the day you took your first steps and throughout life you were unstoppable, you never failed to keep us on our toes. We all had such great times together at the shore, from fishing and crabbing to our boat rides to Tices Shoal or just hanging out on the deck. Our summer days together were filled with laughter and love. Our trips to Grandpas were just as much fun. You’d wake up at the crack of dawn ready to get the snowmobile out and ride until the sun set, but not without that one last ride before bed. I want to thank you for loving each and every one of us with as much energy and enthusiasm as you had for life itself. Thank you for all the good times.
    All my love Aunt Janice

  10. There are no words to convey our sorrow at your loss, Allison. Brian was a charismatic, friendly soul, and he was taken way too soon. We will always remember his big smile. All of our prayers and thoughts are with you during this time.

  11. I did not have the pleasure of knowing Brian, but I am so very sorry for the entire wickman and mcgrory families loss.Brian sounded like a wonderful young man.I know first hand the pain of losing a child (son) it is a pain everyday but it does get a little easier with time..I am so sorry Colleen and John for your loss…my heart feels heavy and sad for you…Reach out if you need to talk…love you both

  12. Brian, I think of all the fun times we had in Lower Nazareth as I watched you grow up next door to Mr. Paulson & me. You became a fine young man, husband & father to those 2 beautiful children. Always willing to help anyone in need, a free spirit who was full of life. I loved you like a son. Please watch over all of us as we mourn your passing. Love to your family & many friends. Thanks for the love & memories you’ve given me.

  13. Allison, I’m sorry to hear about the loss of your husband. Sending prayers your way.

  14. There are no words for the deep sorrow I feel at the loss of you. I will always remember the time you spent with Perry on the “mountain”.
The fact that you always remembered to personally call or text on holidays and birthdays, and connect with me on days that have been difficult for me this past year shows the what a truly thoughtful and caring person you were.
Give Perry a hug for me.
    Laurie

  15. I will never forget the excitement of finding a new little bundle next door at the shore. I was obsessed with holding you, I can still feel your little blue blanket texture and your soft little blonde buzz cut when I’d sit in your sun room with you. At least that’s how I remember it. A summer of pure Joy. And then all the rest followed. We were some wild kids but genuine good ones. My summers were filled with wickmans and for that I am so thankful. I loved reconnecting with you after Oklahoma and seeing the young man you were becoming. It was obvious you had found your true calling in fatherhood. I’m so sorry they have to go on with out you- but so glad that you got to realize your dream of having a family. It is clear the depth of your love for them. And I think anyone who knows you will agree… your heart was immense and your love unconditional. I love you Brian wickman and you will always be in my heart and mind. Until we meet again.

  16. Brian I watched you grow up to be such a wonderful man and father. You were always kind and patient with Jack and Eryn, and they had the best adventures with you at Bayside and Honeoye. Those are some of my favorite memories. I will miss you but knowing you are with the “holy trinity “ and Grampie (Uncle John) helps my heart. With love to your wife and children, mom and dad

  17. Brian, mom and loved you as much as you loved us. You will be missed by all. You grew up to be a great man, father, husband, son and friend.
Mom and I really miss you son, I missed our almost daily text or call.l and our hunting time. We will treasure the perfect memories we have and always, always love you.
I am sure grandma Rose and grandpa Jack will find you in heaven and your can take care of them as you did your family.

    We love you Brian,
    Mom and Dad
