Dr. Joseph A. Ferlicca “Joe” ~ April 28, 2022

Livonia: At age 92, Joe passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2022 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY. He was born in Rochester, NY to the late Albert and Susan Ferlicca. Joe is predeceased by his wife; Agatha A. Ferlicca. Survived by his children; Linda (Charles) Johnstone of Livonia, NY and Thomas (Debbie) Ferlicca of Key West, FL., his grandchildren; Brian, Dan, Ethan, Mackenzie, Taylor and Stephanie, his great grandchildren; Viktor, Adrian, Isla and Millie.

Joe proudly served his country during the Korean War.  After returning home, Joe went to become a Rochester City Police Officer while attending the University of Rochester.  After receiving his under graduate degree he went on to Tufts Dental School.  He practiced dentistry in Livonia until 1982.  He spent his retirement years traveling the country with his wife in their fifth-wheel.

A private graveside service will take place at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Livonia, NY.  Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place • Memphis, TN 38105  or to the Open Door Mission, 156 Plymouth Ave #1834, Rochester, NY 14608.   4. My sincere condolences . Linda,I remember being in girl scouts with you and going your house to bake brownies. You and your family are in my prayers.

  5. Linda and Tom.. I am so sorry for the death of your dad. I remember him living in a mh on Decker Road. I would look for him on my way when I used the back entrance to Pine Tree Park. I remember in the later years he had a pony tail. He was a nice old hippie. I miss your mom as well.

  7. I have many great memories of Joe and his family growing up. We had the best neighborhood and now they are all together again. Joe was a fantastic man and I will remember him fondly. Hugs and prayers to Linda, Tom, and family.
