Livonia: At age 65, John passed peacefully on December 4, 2021 at the Teresa House in Geneseo, NY. John was born on June 1, 1956 in New York, NY to the late Carl and Anna (Eilbacher) Wagner. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his son Daniel V. Wagner. Survived by children; Nicholas Wagner of Florida, Jeremy (Amanda) Wagner of Syracuse, and Brooke Wagner of Rochester; siblings, Nancy Wagner and Richard Wagner; former spouse Maria Maggio; granddaughter Eden Wagner; several nieces and friends including dear friend Larry Anderson.
No prior calling hours to be held. A Memorial Service will be held at 11am on Friday, January 14th, 2022 at the Hemlock United Methodist Church, 4616 North Main Street, Hemlock, NY 14466. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Teresa House, 21 Highland Road, Geneseo, NY 14454. I had the good fortune to help care for John while he was at Teresa House. He was interesting to talk to and knowledgeable about a broad range of things. He spoke fondly about his children and their mother and about his life in New York City. He looked forward to visits from family members, particularly Nancy who stayed for an extended time, and his friend, Larry. My condolences to all who loved him. May he Rest In Peace.
