Avon, NY: At age 82, Roy passed on August 29, 2021 at Highland Hospital in Rochester, NY. He was born on June 25, 1939 in San Francisco, CA to the late Herman and Alice (Leismann) Holt. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his sister Jeannette Hinckle and Cindy Vandenberg, whom he loved dearly. Survived by his son Michael (Leanne) Holt of Hemlock; grandson Jephtha Holt; several friends and neighbors.
Roy served in the US Marines from 1956-1966 and later resided in Avon, NY for many years. He worked at the Avon True Value Hardware and also at Smith Lumber in Lakeville.
A graveside service with military honors will be held at 1pm on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at the Western New York National Cemetery, 1254 Indian Falls Rd, Corfu, NY.
