  1. Uncle Pete, we are so saddened to hear of Sally’s passing. We will keep close our fond memories of our visits at my Mom’s when we were back for a visit. We hope to see you as soon as it is safe.

  2. I was deeply saddened to learn of Sally’s passing. I knew Sal through the Strong Heart program where she exercised along with Ed. Sal was delightful, with her ready smile and fun sense of humor. Another fond memory was at their home for the annual “pumpkin party”. There Sal was really in her element, entertaining and sharing her beautiful home and property, and letting my nieces and nephews run wild to find the perfect pumpkin. She will be sorely missed. My heart goes out to Ed and the entire family.

  3. My sympathy to Sally’s family. Sally was my PE teacher at HFL in the early 70’s. I loved having her as a teacher. She was fun, fair and very competent and skilled in the PE field. I would always see her at sporting or school events. She was a very inspiring, caring teacher. I have thought of her over the years and hoped that we would see each other at some point. From reading other postings, I can see that she continued to be such a wonderful person. Will keep her family in my prayers and will send positive thoughts for comfort.

  4. Sally was a lovely person . Sal was always ready to help, whatever the need and God bless her, always kept up with Ed in all their endeavors. She was a special friend and will be remembered with much love. Prayers for her whole family. Gary and Carol Parisella

  5. My sincere condolences to Ed on the passing of your beloved Sally. The two of you were so much a part of Old Hickory Golf for many years. The trees are now a ‘forest’. The golf competition was always keen, but friendly. The charcoal often warm and the results tasty. A wonderful couple. Missing you both. May the Lord care for her soul as she transitions over the Rainbow Bridge.

  6. Sending prayers and condolences to the Perry/Schubert families. Sally was one of those all embracing people who lived life well. There are no words to ease the emptiness felt by her passing; but, in time the memories of her graciousness and commitment to her family and God will shine through the sorrow. Am so truly sorry for your loss.

  7. I remember many a morning after the school bus went, playing pinochle, drinking tea and eating Sally’s famous chocolate chip cookies. She always had the cookie jar filled and Ted still talks about those cookies. She was a very special person, always willing to help any way she was able. She will be missed.

She took me in as an adopted grandchild for many years as I spent countless hours in the pond and shared snacks, meals, laughs and memories alongside her, Grandpa Ed and the rest of the Schubert clan. In my college years we caught up during the summers with chats at the gym and I always felt loved and supported like one of their own. Sending hugs and prayers to the entire family but especially to Grandpa Ed, Dave, Cathy and Rock.
