  1. Barb and Family;
    Our thoughts and prayers are with you as you mourn the loss of your dear brother Dave. Once again you have a large void in your circle of love. Although it has been along time since I have been in touch with you or Dave please know that we are thinking of you and send our deepest sympathy. Ann Michele And Ed

  2. I look back fondly on the many years of family gatherings shared with Dave. Christmas, Thanksgiving, birthdays, picnics, sleep overs. The climb to the classic Lionel train display in the attic, target practice with the Red Ryder, pump action, BB gun in the basement.(Careful you’ll shoot your eye out!), time at Vine Valley on Canandaigua Lake and Roseland Park, sleigh riding at Tay House lodge near the family homestead, camping and fishing at Grass Pointe in the Thousands Islands with Rick and our dads. And in later years, sitting by the Gazebo with Dave at a summer concert in Honeoye and organizing several family reunions and family picnics on the lake. Dave could talk for hours about his radio controlled planes and his project to restore a vintage car which I think turned out to be more “vintage” then he imagined and I learned more about lighting design then I ever dreamed. After introducing us to the world of kayaking before it became popular, Dave moved on to the motor driven variety on Honeoye Lake as he settled into his new beloved lifestyle around the hills, streams and water of the Finger Lakes area. Dave loved his role as “Uncle Dave” and was never happier than hauling the kids around the lake on tubes, skis or wake-boards and working tirelessly with Barb to plan and promote the ADP Helmet Heroes Run to benefit the Hickok Center, in memory of nephew Andrew.
    Dave you always devoted every bit of energy and passion to whatever task you took on and you will be lovingly remembered and surely missed by everyone you engaged.

  3. I worked alongside Dave at Sports on the Mall in Eastview for 18 years. Any success we achieved was due mainly to Dave’s efforts. Dave’s achievements with the staff and our customers will never be forgotten. Rest In Peace my friend.

  4. Barbara & Family, I am so saddened to hear of Dave’s passing. Although I haven’t seen him in many years, we kept in touch. Your brother will be very missed.

  5. I’ve had the privilege of knowing Dave since 1978 when he hired me for my first job at Winslow’s Sports on the Mall. After leaving the area in the early 80’s, (pre-digital communication world), we had lost touch. However our paths crossed again at an electrical products trade show in Rochester in 1995. In 1996 our young company, Quality Lighting Systems, Inc., had the opportunity to hire Dave to work with our team that covered the Rochester market. To no surprise, Dave was a stellar employee and true member of the QLS family. He was as loyal a person as I have ever met in my 58 years on this earth! He took it upon himself to be the lead IT contact in the company as the digital business world evolved. Along with being loyal, Dave was selfless, humble and modest, never taking credit for his self taught IT expertise. Ironically, his latest project was converting the QLS information system from a local server based system over to a cloud server that was completed last weekend right before his passing.
    THANK YOU DAVE for all of your contributions to QLS over the years! You will be missed by all of us in the QLS family! Rest In Peace my friend!

    Barb, Abi, Keith and kids, the QLS family offers our sincerest condolence to you. We are here for you during this difficult time. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to help.

  6. I just wanted to share how much Dave will be missed at Quality Lighting. He was one of those rare people that would do anything for anyone. He was such a great coworker and more importantly a great person. RIP Dave and my condolences to the family.

    You always gave generously of your time to family and friends sharing your calm, wry sense of humour and your helpful organisational skills for family reunions and gatherings. We loved sharing time with you on the lake and in Rochester growing up. You will truly be missed.

    Diane
