Doris M. “Dorie May” Duger of Avon died Thursday July 8, 2010 at the home of her daughter after a lengthy illness. She was born in Avon, NY May 29, 1924 the daughter of Burrell and Mary Fridd Jacobs. She was a long time member of Zion Episcopal Church In Avon. Dorie was always known as a fun loving person with a great sense of humor with many, many friends throughout the area.

Dorie is survived by her children, Deborah (Robert) Martin of Avon, Richard (Joanne) Ackerman of Piffard. 5 grandchildren, Jacob, Suzanne, Amie, Eric, & Sara. 3 great grandchildren, Jill, George, & Emmalie. She was retired from Cartwright Inn where she was employed over 35 years.
