  1. Larry Briggs……….. One of the finest people I have known and as close to being Family without the bloodline as he could be. Larry & Shirley are why we landed in Deltona in June of 1982 and opened their home to us until we settled there ourselves. Larry was my Mothers personal handyman, as if anything would go wrong at the house her first response was “maybe we should get Larry to look at this” and much to Leigh’s chagrin I might add :0) Larry and Shirley would attend my football games on Friday nights after grabbing dinner with my parents whether it was home or away and I can’t remember too many Super Bowls that wasn’t an event at the Briggs’. Larry was always someone we as a family could always count on, for just about anything, but always his support for anything you had going on or needed help to do. Larry Briggs, Family, Friend, Loyalty & Love…… And Never Forgotten!!!! The Pope’s

  5. Shirley +Family, may God bless you we are very sad to hear the passing of Larry. We had so many good times at the Lake in NY and at your home in Florida. Prayers sent to all your family members.
Love you always the Rauber Fam

  6. Larry – May God bless you. We go way back to the times when we had each others back playing football, to the times
when we couldn’t figure it out playing trombone in the HS band. You were a good man and will be missed by all of us from the Class of 58. May Shirley and your family take comfort that, whoever you touched in life, you left an ever lasting positive and happy mark. God Bless Monte and Pat Meyer

  7. Our family (the Harveys) used to be bigger and closer. I always enjoyed spending time at your mom and dad’s house on the hill on Federal Road. They had an old crank phone for many years. Your dad worked for my grandfather Clair and my dad George at Wingate Electric. Aunt Alice (your mom) made the best homemade soup. I remember your sister Althea. You both had a great smile and personality. I will miss seeing you at the Hemlock Fair and many other places we would run into each other. We always had a connection. You are gone but will not be forgotten.

  8. I think the hardest part of losing someone, isn’t having to say goodbye, but its learning to live without them. always trying to fill the emptiness that’s left inside your heart when they go.Larry Briggs has left a void in many hearts. I’ll miss you Larry.

  9. Shirley and family,
We are so sorry to hear about Larry. May God hold you in the palm of his hand in this time of sorrow. We have so many good memories of our times together.
