Honeoye: January 28, 2016 at age 83 years. Survived by wife of 59 years Doris, children; Douglas (Laura) Turner of Fish’s Eddy, NY, Russ (Holly) Turner of Rochester, Virginia Lacoste of SC, and Nancy Snyder of Honeoye. 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Jerry taught in the Rush-Henrietta School District for 30 years & served in the Navy and Coast Guard Reserves. He was active with the Boy Scouts for many years and was a Silver Beaver recipient.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 6th, at 11:00am at the Honeoye United Church of Christ, 8758 Main Street, Honeoye, NY. Interment will be held at Lakeview Cemetery, Honeoye, privately at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home Inc., Livonia-Honeoye. I am sorry to hear this. This brought to mind many wonderful memories of several years spent together at Massawepie Scout Camps. Those were great times. It also makes me think of all the Scouting friends from those times that we have lost. My thoughts and sympathy are with Doris and the Turner family.
I’ll miss Uncle Jerry. I wish we’d lived close enough to get together more often. :hugs: to Aunt Doris.
