Kathleen S. Mann “Kathy” – August 23, 2018

Livonia: August 23, 2018 at age 75 years. Survived by her daughter Suzanne Thayer (Steve Schwingel) of Livonia and grandchildren; Danyell Sullivan (Frank Orosz) of Livonia and Haley Natoli of NC. Also survived by several other loving family & friends.

Kathy was a selfless, caring person. She was kind, compassionate and oh so funny. At the same time she had no problem telling it like it was and made sure you always knew her opinion. That’s what so many loved about her! Her stories were hilarious and she’d always keep you laughing. She could make any day brighter, just by telling you not to sweat the small stuff!

Kathy was a natural caretaker all her life. She raised a wonderful daughter and helped with her two granddaughters in any way she could. She spent most of her career at Sonyea and Doty Day treatment centers and various county homes, ending her career in hospice care. She spent most of her later years relaxing at home, playing “the game” on her IPad and spending time with her daughter and granddaughters. She kept her small family busy, she was their ROCK and was the glue that held them together. Granny will be greatly missed; so much more than she could have ever known.

At Kathy’s request no funeral services will be held. The family will have a Celebration of her Life Gathering in the future. In lieu of flowers and in Kathy’s Memory memorial contributions may be made to the Livonia Ambulance, PO Box 8, Livonia, NY 14487. 1. Kathy was my Mom’s (Marie) caregiver for years, however, she was so much more that a caregiver…she was my Mom’s friend. Their’s was a true friendship and my family and I were so grateful to have her as a part of our family’s life and that she was there for Marie.

We didn’t learn of her passing until recently. She had a huge heart and was such a caring and giving person and I am so thankful for her and for being part of our family.

So sorry for your loss. Love & prayers,
    Patty (Isaac) Tario

  2. My grandma was the greatest human being I have ever known. She taught me SO much over the years and always looked out for me. We talked or texted everyday and I went to her with every problem, no matter how small. More often than not she drove me crazy but I loved her more than anyone. She was my person! We were so alike it drove us both and others nuts, but our bond was strong. Each day will be hard but I know our bond could never be broken no matter where she is. I’ll still continue to talk to her about every problem, and I’m sure she’ll still show me guidance. I will miss her forever and always! I love you so much Gram!

  3. Sue – So sorry to hear about your Mom. I always enjoyed talking with her. Nice Lady and always smiling.

  4. Dear Suzey, Danyell and Haley,
My heart is heavy for you all. I will certainly miss seeing Kathy in the oddest places. I always liked talking with her. She had that little smile on her face all the time we talked. I always felt like we were telling secrets.
    My deepest sympathies,
    Patty Hill
