Leicester: July 31, 2018 at age 85 years. He was predeceased by his wife, Dolores Whitney on July 10, 2018. He is survived by his children, Richard (Noreen) Whitney of Canton, MO., Shawn (Johanna) Whitney of Wayland and Cory Whitney of York. 6 grandchildren, Logan Whitney, Shelby Whitney, Casey Whitney, Taylor Whitney, Nicole Winingar, and Cory Whitney, Jr.
John was born December 21, 1932 the son of Sampson H. and Emily Rawleigh Whitney. He served his country in the US Army from 1957 – 1959. He retired from the Veterans Administration in Canandaigua where he served as a social worker. He was a member of the Dansville Moose and AMA.

We were so shocked and surprised by John’s & Sally’s passing. Dick, Shawn, Cory, and families, you have our deepest sympathy. We have many good memories of our times together.
