Livonia: Sara passed unexpectedly on June 6, 2018 at age 20. Survived by her loving parents Chris and Mary (Deragon) Smith and her sisters; Rachel Smith of Chatham, MA and Andrea Smith at home; grandparents, Gerald and Patti Smith of Geneseo, Josephine Deragon of Geneseo, and Elias Deragon of Nicholville, NY. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, her Minnehan’s Family, and her beloved pets.
Sara was born on January 30, 1998 in Rochester, NY to parents Chris and Mary Smith. She attended Livonia High School and the Niagara Culinary Institute. She was a passionate dancer, athlete, and loved to shop for her family & friends. Sara enjoyed cooking and working at Minnehan’s in Lakeville where she made many friends over the years. Her family will always remember her smile, her special 5 course meal served on New Years Eve and her kind & generous heart.
Family and friends may call on Monday, June 11th, from 4-7pm at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home Inc., 21 Big Tree Street, Rte 15 & 20A, Livonia, NY. Sara’s Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, June 12th, 11am at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 6591 Richmond Mills Road, Rte 20A, Livonia, NY. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Geneseo, NY.
