Vesta L. Forshee – March 3, 2018

Livonia: Vesta L. Forshee of Livonia, passed away peacefully at the age of 96, Saturday, March 3, 2018, with her loving family at her side. Vesta will be remembered as a compassionate Christian who touched the lives of many. She graduated from Fredonia State College and began teaching in Canaseraga in 1947. Vesta loved reading, travel, friends and family.

She is survived by her children; Lance (Sue) Shay, Greg Shay, and Carol (Doug) Acomb, step-children; Walter (Marian) Forshee Jr., Suzanne (Richard) Zitrick, Sharon Forshee, Betsy (Ralph) Arena, Wayne (Cindy) Forshee, and David (Val) Forshee. Also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and loving caregivers at the Conesus Lake Nursing Home. She was predeceased by her loving husband Walter W. Forshee Sr.

Friends may call on Saturday, March 24th, from 10-11am at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home Inc., 21 Big Tree Street, Rte 15 & 20A, Livonia, NY. A Memorial Service will be held at 11am following the calling hours. Private burial, Canaseraga Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to your favorite charity. Although I only met her once or twice, Weimar has very fond memories of her of years ago when she was so supportive and helpful to him. Trusting there are many happy, special memories to help you through this sad time.
