Betty liked to say that she talked for a living, but her passion was helping families keep their children healthy and safe. She loved to share her knowledge and advice, and she enjoyed playing with children and encouraging them to learn and thrive. Once she retired, her grandchildren were a constant source of joy as they entertained her and made her laugh. She also loved reading and surrounded herself with books and her Kindle filled with as many titles as she could fit into it.
Following her wishes, there will be no viewing or funeral service. She asked that friends and family gather for a picnic in the summer to celebrate her life by sharing food, laughter, and stories of our time with her. Plans for the gathering have not yet been finalized. Memorial donations in Betty’s name may be made to the child-focused charity of your choice.
