Carl K. Hillyard, 78 years of Honeoye Gardens, died March 30, 2010. He was born May 15, 1931 in Rochester, NY son of Lester and Hazel Foote Hillyard. He served in the US Army during the Korean War and was a member of the Honeoye-Hemlock American Legion. Carl was employed for 23 years with the Rochester City School District, retiring in 1978.

Carl is survived by his wife of 55 years, Barbara. Sons, Randall (Sabra) Hillyard of Rochester, Timothy (Belinda) Hillyard of Springwater. 4 grandchildren, Ben Martinez, Corey (Cheryl) Martinez, Carl Hillyard, Brittnee McMurtry; 3 great-grandchildren; 4 sisters, Mildred Fuino of Rochester, Betty Leo of Scottsville, Dorothy (Arthur) Leo of LeRoy, Gail Tuite of MD; sister-in-law, Agnes Hillyard of Henrietta; many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers, Frank, Harold, Chester, Arthur, & Donald Hillyard. also sister, Leona Lewis.
