It does my heart good to see that my father made a positive impact in people’s lives.
Dear Family of Jim Favreau,
Jim and I graduated together from HCS.
Jim was a good friend who I enjoyed seeing and chatting with around Honeoye over the years.
He will be missed and fondly remembered by all who know him.

Jim shot compition in “Cowboy Action Shooting ” with the Long Riders where he was known as “Road Runner”, his dog buddy Eb was known as “One Shy” and I am known as “Heavy Bear”. I will always cherish memories shooting with Road Runner and fun evenings with him at the 3 day shoots. He is an outstanding man, in all ways, that I had the rare opportunity to meet.
“Hey, Road Runner ! Ride slow andd I’ll see ya down the trail ! It’s Heavy Bear.”
Uncle Jim taught me things about motorcycles, dogs, CB radios and how to enjoy all of them while enjoying nature at his Honeoye home. I spend many a summer there and miss those times greatly. He will be greatly missed.
I can remember watching the original Battlestar Galactica with with Jeff and Steve that had Lorne Greene in 1978 while my parents were talking with Uncle Jim and Aunt Barb for hours at a time.
I remember learning all about learning to love dogs with Buck and Blaze. Because of his love for animals I married a wonderful woman that also has that same deep love for animals.
I remember going to observed trials events (motorcycle sports) with my father and Uncle Jim would take Jeff and Steve and we would talk on the CB for hours at a time on the way there and on the way back. Well in truth I did more listening than talking but it was still very good and vivid memories.
I remember going fishing out on the lake, sledding in his front yard and playing hide and go seek to all hours of the night while feeding the local mosquitoes.
Most of all I remember missing him over the years as I grew older myself… and even more now…
He will be remembered…
Your passing is leaving a hole in our hearts…will miss your sense of humor and your laugh. Thanks for your support over the years.
The Freedom Bus and the lost Care Bear, the Thanksgiving dinner with the dropped potatoes and our first family gathering in the States. My big cousin drives on but never alone. Say hi to Uncle Bill.
We send our love from the west coast, Liza and Phil
Sending my deepest sympathy to the family and the many friends who knew and loved Jim.
Jim was very knowledgeable and skilled in many trades. If you asked him for help he would drop what he was doing to be there. Many times when he knew someone needed help he would just show up and join right in. { Once in a while Jim might tell you about where he had been or what he had done.}LOL
Jim was generous, thoughtful and modest; As the years went by Jim remembered stories from his life that he was always ready to share. He loved his dogs Eb (Ebby) a three legged gold Lab, and Poncho a Shepherd mix; both were lovable and friendly. He loved sitting around a campfire. He had friends and was loved from Texas to Canada, Maine to California and South Carolina to the state of Washington.
Jim was my beloved brother, he was significant in saving my life and helping to show me how to live a peaceful and loving alcohol free life.
Jim was a unique soul, and i am missing him dearly.
Jim is at peace now
Prayers for all his family to stay strong and remember the good times
Hello Everyone,
First I want to apologize for forgetting to put “Frenchy” as Jim’s nickname! Let’s chalk that up to not being in the best frame of mind that day.
Jim was many things to many people. A boondocker, an S-K-P member (escapes are an Arizona based motor home and campers club), a Cowboy shooter, a bus converter, a pan-handler, a friend of Bill’s, and a certified Reiki practioner. Before he learned Reiki, he was a “Smudger”. Smudging was the American Indian equivalent of Reiki. He knew a little bit about a lot of things, and was always there for you when you needed him. He was a doer, a planner and a dreamer, and will be missed by many.
Please leave comments, anecdotes, stories on here for everyone to enjoy and remember. Jim’s gathering on the 23rd will be a time to meet his sons Steve and Jeff (both coming from Washington), share tall stories and lies, see old friends, classmates and relatives and celebrate Jim’s life. Aleta (sister)
