  1. Linda and I echo the many kind thoughts, words and prayers that have been expressed regarding Lou. Having lived on Pebble Beach Road for many years, we witnessed first hand the love she had for her family, neighbors and life in general. I can still visualize Lou riding her bike past our house and waving to me with a big smile on her face. May God continue to bless and comfort all of your beautiful family.

  6. My sincere condolences to the family. I knew Lou from skiing at Swain, where I saw her teach her grandchildren and other youngsters. The kids loved her. She always had a pleasant greeting As I rode the chair a week ago Sunday and saw a class of youngsters, I thought of her.

  7. My sincere condolences to the Miller Family. On several occasions I visited with your Mom at the Nursing and reminded her that my brother Patrick and I were her newspaper boy’s in the late 1950’s & early 60’s and that she taught my three daughter how to ski at Swain in the early 1990’s, which made her very happy! God Bless her sweet soul, now and always in heaven!

  8. To Lou’s family, our family fondly recalls our days at Swain in the 1990s, as Judy and Kris taught our daughter Laine to ski and Lou warmly greeted us all each time inside the ski school. We send our condolences to all for your loss of such a lovely person. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

  9. Genuine, loving, kind, friend, upbeat… there aren’t words to accurately capture all that Lou was. Several years ago we took her to an indoor lacrosse game, with its fast action, music, and cheering crowds. At halftime I asked what she thought of it. She smiled that beaming grin and said, “I love it. I don’t know what’s going on, BUT I LOVE IT!” Lou loved life, and lived love.
During Communion visits at Alpine, we could often stir up a story or memory about the Lake, skiing, St. Joseph Church, or Father Schifferli. Though the years slowly took away her ability to name everyone skiing down the hill in “The Picture”, they couldn’t diminish the love she had for Bob and her family.
Vacant, sorrowful, empty, mourning… I guess there aren’t words to adequately say how we feel at her leaving. No one is more deserving to be with God. Heaven’s got to be an even happier place now.

  10. Dear Judy, Tom, Kris, Dave and Andrea and families,

I think all our folks are up in Heaven having a Lakeville party. I am so sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. RIP Ludy!!

    Love and Light,

I still remember the day her picture appeared in the D&C in her ski lesson mode on the Senior Page. She laughed and said she would have truly been proud had it benn on the sports page! Know that you are in our thoughts. Kathy and Dick Wesley
