  1. Fred became an instant friend when we were young school children for a brief time in Avon, NY. I think the family left while we were in third grade. Both named Fred, both born in April, both with farming backgrounds; mine more from other family but I remember the conversations we had with Mike Strother about our farming “expertise” while sitting in the big sandbox at ACS. The twinkle in Fred’s eye is just as obvious in his photo as it was so long ago. And now that vision looks out across the greatest horizon, promised to those of us who believe. I am sorry for your loss and ask that you consider what you were blessed to enjoy while he was with you – the power in the goodness of a man who has remained in someone’s thoughts for over six decades of never being re-connected. God Bless.
    Sincerely,
    Fred Harrington

  5. I’m going to miss my calls on Mondays and when aunt Darlene would go to doctors, Our Saturday call that would come in just before 5 when she went to work,( What you doing, are you home, ok on my way, put coffee on) 10 mins later I would hear your truck coming up my road. the advice on my garden , that always ended up the size of a foot ball field ,The day you tried fixing my outside lights and we heard a loud yell then cussing, you forgot to turn off switch. but most of all I’m going to miss all the stories you told me and the long talks we had. You were bull headed, grumpy at times, and always bitching about something ,but you were kind hearted and loved your family to a fault . You may have left our sides but you will never leave our heart, you take care of our boy up there and I’ll do the same down here. This isn’t goodbye ,this is see you later. I’ll be there to talk to you every day and still continue our talks. Fly high , I love and will miss you so much. your partner in crime
