Canandaigua: February 26, 2016 at 45 years. Predeceased by her first husband Timothy Paine. Survived by her husband David; children Daphne “Jackie” and Maxwell Paine; parents William and Marguerite Brietzke; brother Donald (Stefanie) Brietzke; and sister Kristine (Mike) Maenza.
Diane was a 1988 graduate of Honeoye Central School and formerly was owner/operator of retail store Firefly in Batavia. She was creative, whimsical and spiritual, with a delight in animals and the arts, and with a fierce love for her family.
Friends may call Thursday, March 3, from 4-7 p.m. at Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home Inc., 8624 Main St., Route 20A, Honeoye. A celebration of Diane’s life will be held on Saturday, March 5 at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Don I was sorry to hear about Diane she was always so bubly when I would see her.
David, this is written in sadness. Diane was our daughter-in-law for 20 yrs. We laughed together and cried together. She would tell people I was her best friend. I was her coach when she was pregnant for Daphne and in the delivery room for that beautiful moment. We talked every day. So I will always have her in my heart. To all who wear tiaras, keep the light shining. David, God will give you strength.
