Conesus: Harold J. “Cuzzy” Sanford, 85 years, of Conesus died late Sunday evening, January 17, 2010, at the Livingston County Center for Nursing Care and Rehabilitation in Mount Morris. He was born in Nunda, NY October 7, 1924, the son of Grant and Lena Nichols Sanford. Cuzzy was a World War 2 Navy Veteran serving in Japan. He was a member of the Conlon-Mulvaney American Legion Post in Conesus and the Dansville American Legion Post. Cuzzy was an avid outdoorsman particularly enjoying hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his children, Judy Wilkins of Conesus, Janet (Mark) Crannage of Delaware and Jim (Missy) Sanford of Conesus. 8 grandchildren, Jenny and Brett Wilkins, Hilliary and Dana Crannage, Nicole, Jessica, Megan, and Andrew Sanford. sisters, June (Morris) Niedermaier of Groveland, Mary Vianese of Mt. Morris and Barbara Anderson of Dalton. several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc. Routes 15 & 20A, 21 Big Tree St. Livonia where services will be held on Friday at 11 AM.
