Bergen/Falcon, MO: Sean Thomas Smithson, 41, died Saturday, January 23, 2016, at his home near Falcon, Missouri.

He was born Feb. 21, 1974, in Rochester, N.Y. to Thomas Leroy and Susan (Paul) Smithson.

Sean was preceded in death by his father and his grandparents, Bernice and Leo Paul.

He was raised in Bergen, NY by Heather and Wayne Fuhry and attended Byron-Bergen School. In 2006, he moved to Lebanon, Missouri and while there he worked for Emerson Electric and Sign Fab.

Survivors include two sons, John Smithson and Dustin Smithson both of MO and his girlfriend, Jennifer Jackson, of MO. Also survived by his mother Susan Forest of KY; step-granddaughter, Josephina Clark; Siblings; Dawn (Randy) Worden of Mt. Morris, Tammy (William) Mielke of Byron, Lucas Fuhry of Byron, and Nina (Phil) Drum of Rochester. Many nieces & nephews, cousins, and friends.

Friends may call on Saturday, February 20th, from 11am-1pm at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home Inc., 21 Big Tree Street, Rte 20A, Livonia, where a service will follow calling at 1pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the New York State Sheriff’s Association, Summer Camp, 27 Elk Street, Albany, NY 12207.
